He was just stating what the Philippian jailer would hear: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." He was simply saying what Paul would teach in Romans 8: "There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus."
 Jesus laid out this truth very emphatically by starting what He said with the words verily, verily: "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life."
 Faith comes by hearing and so the more we hear the gospel, the more it becomes a part of our being and the more we truly trust the Word of God. If we believe "that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures," then we have heard His Word, believed the Father Who sent Him, and "are given Eternal Life, and will not come under judgment but have passed from death to life."
John 5:24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, keep us ever mindful of Your Word and the truth that is contained in the plain message of Scripture and the glorious gospel. We praise and thank You that we have passed from death to life, by believing in Jesus. In His name we Pray, AMEN.

He did this in order to live His life as a perfect pattern of the way God desires that all His children live.
 As the Cross drew ever closer, the Lord Jesus knew that He would soon leave His earthly companions and return to His Father in heaven. And so He left important instructions for all of His children to follow; that we should love each other with a divine, self-sacrificial love, that only comes from Him. We should treat each other with a godly affection and gentle kindness that can only be imparted to us by His Holy Spirit, as we remain in Him and He in us.
 The essence of the Christian creed is contained in this extraordinary command of Christ: "Love One Another in the same manner that I have loved you." Christ willingly sacrificed His own life so that we might live, should we not do the same for others?
 Let us seek to live our lives as unto the Lord, in spirit and truth. Let us love each other in the same way the Christ loved us, to the benefit to the Body, and the glory of our Lord.
John 15:12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we know that in and of ourselves we cannot love others in the same way that Christ loved us, unless we surrender our lives completely into Your hands. We pray that Your Spirit of love may flow through us to others so that we can love them as You have loved us. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

 Daniel did not become proud that HE had been chosen by God to have this revelation. He did not start to crow over his friends that HE rather than they had received the answer. Daniel was willing to seek the Lord, to hear from Him, to be used by Him, and to give God all the glory and praise forever and ever, because he knew that all wisdom and power, might, majesty, dominion, and authority belonged to GOD.
 In this world that is disintegrating before our eyes, how important it is to seek the Lord when pressures and problems mount up in our lives. May we acknowledge that in our own strength we can do nothing - but how we praise God that we can do all things through Christ, Who strengthens us. May we readily remember that no matter what difficulties and dangers we may have to face, that the Lord has scheduled every day of our lives and will use us to carry out His plans and purposes if we are willing to Submit To Him And Trust Him in all things.
Daniel 2:20 and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of unshakable faith we see in the lives of Daniel when faced with an impossible task. Increase our faith, we pray, and help us to follow his wise example by bringing everything to You in prayer and supplication when confronted by the difficulties and dangers of life... knowing that ALL wisdom, knowledge, power, and preeminence, belongs to You. Give us godly courage and a childlike trust in You, and we pray that we would not falter when faced with challenging circumstances but look to You alone - for You have promised to be with us in every eventuality of life and are worthy of all our praise and worship forever and ever. This we pray in Jesus' name, AMEN.

He spoke the truth in love but did not compromise His speech or language. Like Christ, Our Speech Should Always Be Gracious and seasoned with salt.
 Words that come out from our mouth, have their source in the thoughts of our hearts. When our heart is properly focused on the Lord, in fellowship with the Father and being led by the Spirit, our words will be gracious and seasoned with salt. They will be both gracious words and truthful words. They will not be designed to embarrass or hurt, ridicule, or humiliate others, but will speak the truth in love. When we are led by the Spirit, He will help us to know how we should respond to every person.
 We can never learn how to speak unto the Lord by a 12-step program designed by man, train ourselves to always say the right thing, try to copy the words that other people speak, or even parrot the words of the Lord Jesus Himself. But a life that is lived seeking the Lord with all their heart, a life that is submitted to the leading of the Holy Spirit, a life lived with ears open to hear His Word and eyes open to see His truth, will be a life that speaks the truth in love, with gracious speech and seasoned with salt.
Colossians 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, our speech is not always gracious or seasoned with salt. Through Your Spirit, we pray that the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts are always acceptable to you so that we only say that which is pleasing to You. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.
]]><![CDATA[Take Courage!]]>Wed, 08 Apr 2026 05:00:00 GMThttps://www.unitedbyprayer.com/united-by-prayer-wall/take-courage As the disciples struggled to keep their little boat afloat in the midst of the tempestuous storm that raged across the sea, Jesus came to them, walking on the water. They had been battling the raging storm throughout the night and they were exhausted, but it continued to lash their little boat well into the early hours of the morning, for we are told that it was the fourth watch of the night when Jesus came to them.
 The Lord Jesus was aware of the danger they were in but He was also concerned about their peace of mind. He cares for us as a kindly Shepherd and tends to the needs of all His sheep.
 What an object lesson to us all that He is never far from any one of us. All we need to do is call out to Him, and He will reply, "Take Courage! It is I, do not fear." The Lord could have prevented the storm and kept the disciples safe in peaceful waters, but He could not have called out His reassuring word to have courage so as to demonstrate that He is an ever-present help in need.
Matthew 14:27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”
Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, we want to praise and thank You for Your tender mercy toward all of Your children. As we are faced with the troubles of our lives, help us to realize that no matter what happens, You are near to us at all times. You are working all things together in our lives to help mature our faith. Help us, Lord, to trust You more. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

Indeed, God saw that all that He had made was very good. And although we can truly say that He made everything with resplendent beauty, everything He made was fitting and just right.
 Throughout the course of history, humanity continues its endless search for something that is beyond human knowledge. The human race marches on, seeking answers that are beyond our comprehension because our infinite, unfathomable, God has designed us with a hunger for more, a hunger that nothing but He Himself can suffice.  
 It is when we are willing to surrender to the sovereignty of God and acknowledge that He is the omniscient, all-powerful God Whose ways are past finding out, and that we are His dependent creatures, that our inner restlessness is stilled. 
 God has done all things appropriately and well, and He has set eternity in the heart of all so that those who seek Him with all their heart will find rest for their soul in Him and receive The Gift Of Eternal Life through faith in Christ. He has promised that whosoever will, may come.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we truly worship and praise You, that You are our great Creator Who has made everything beautiful in its time and appropriate to complete Your plans and purposes. Thank You that You made us in Your image and likeness and that in Your grace have set eternity in the hearts of all people. Help us to surrender to Your sovereign will, to establish You on the throne of our lives, and to trust You to fulfil Your perfect plan and purposes in each of our lives. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

We have received a free and full salvation and have been quickened and made alive, by faith in Christ.
 But not all believers choose The Spiritual Way Of Life. There are those that live a carnal Christian lifestyle which mirrors the ways of the world, dishonors the Lord, and removes them from enjoying fellowship with the Father which is another privilege that is ours, in Christ.
 God had set a principle of sowing and reaping, such that each of us reaps a harvest of what we have sown in our lives. Whatever we choose to sow in our lives, whether for good or for evil, will bring forth the fruit of that choice.
 May we learn the lesson of sowing and reaping in our lives and do all to the glory of God. God is not mocked by His children who choose to ignore or neglect His will. The Lord will not allow His name to be disdained or trifled with by those that ignore His Word and His will.. or by those that set aside His precepts and principles.
Galatians 6:7 Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for this principle of sowing and reaping. We pray that we may develop giving hearts and generous spirits so that all we say brings honor to Your name. May all we do be for the glory of God and for the good of others. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

 Paul longed to know Christ and the power of His Resurrection, but his heart was also to share in Christ's suffering, for he desired intimate association with the Lord Who bought him, in the everyday circumstances of his life.
 As a result of our new birth, we are united in Him by faith, and all who are truly united together with Christ have been baptized into His Body. All who are positioned in Christ, died to sin when Jesus died on the Cross. But as a member of His Body, we are not only grafted into His death but also joined together with Him in His resurrected life. We are united in life with our resurrected Lord. His death became our death, but His resurrected life became our new, resurrected life, a life which is everlasting.
 Like Paul, we need to acknowledge who we are in Christ and we should desire that close intimacy with Him in the everyday circumstances of life. We need to acknowledge Him in the morning time and we need to draw close to Him in the evening hours.
 Jesus is the One who removes the obstacles on the roadside and He is the One Who bring you to your appointed goal, for the all-seeing God is the One Who has promised in all things to: "Direct your paths and to lead You in the way of righteousness."
Romans 6:5 Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was.
Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, thank You that we are united with Christ in the likeness of His death and that His resurrected life has become our lives, through time and into eternity. Thank You for directing our lives every step of the way, as we follow you. Guide us today and direct our hearts and minds into the love of Christ. Draw us into a closer intimacy with Yourself. In the name of Jesus we Pray, AMEN.

 By His death, The Lord Jesus Paid The Enormous Price For Our Sins and broke the power of sin and death in our life forever, returning us into fellowship with the Father. We are accepted by God, because of Him.
 The chastisement of all our peace was laid upon Him that day on Calvary's Cross.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that the Lord Jesus Christ was wounded for our transgressions and bore our sins in His body on the tree. Thank You that our guilt has been exchanged for peace with God and the peace of God now rests in our hearts. Thank You that we have been forever released from the bondage of sin and death, and that by His stripes we have been healed, clothed in His righteousness, and made children of God. Thank You that Christ Jesus is our Savior and the sinless Substitute for our sins . In Jesus name we all Pray, Amen.
]]><![CDATA[It Is Never Too Late To Look To The Lord Jesus And LIVE]]>Fri, 03 Apr 2026 05:00:00 GMThttps://www.unitedbyprayer.com/united-by-prayer-wall/it-is-never-too-late-to-look-to-the-lord-jesus-and-live The one and only Savior of the world hung on a cruel wooden cross, with His arms of forgiveness wide open to all who would trust His name. The armies of heaven were at His disposal, but He could never respond to the jeering crowd that taunted, "If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross and save Yourself," for to do so would have shut the door to paradise for everyone and slammed closed the gates of heaven forever, with no hope for mankind in the world.
 Jesus's gracious prayer of forgiveness  prompted one criminal on the cross behind him his request when, with a repentant heart he cried, "This man has done nothing wrong," and then turning towards the Lord he pleaded, "Jesus, remember me when you come into Your kingdom."
 I doubt that the thieving criminal expected to hear Christ's merciful reply, "Today you will be with Me in paradise," nor would he have anticipated the wonderful joy into which he would shortly enter. But immediately, his simple faith was rewarded with a promise of paradise in the company of the Redeemer Himself.
 Though salvation is conditional on the repentant sinner turning to Christ, this beautiful passage gives assurance that It Is Never Too Late To Look To The Lord Jesus And LIVE. It demonstrates that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ, and is not dependent on any liturgical sacraments, baptismal rituals, good works, man-made doctrines, or legalistic requirements. It is faith in the Person, the Work, and the Word of the Savior that secures for us the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting.
Luke 23:43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Father, for the beautiful gift of salvation that is given to all that trust in the name of the Lord. We thank You that the way into the paradise of God has been reopened through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and our sins, past, present, and future, have all been forgiven simply because we trust in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In His name we Pray, AMEN.

 The staggering consequences of this poignant event was veiled from the eyes of the bewildered disciples, yet the eternal significance of this amazing, sacrificial action will reverberate down through the corridors of time, and throughout the eternal ages that are to come.
 The Lord Jesus was The Bread Of Life, the hidden manna that had been sent from heaven. He was to give His own life as a ransom for many. And as He broke the unleavened bread which represented His sinless body, and offered the cup which spoke of His lifeblood being poured out for every member of sinful humanity, it pictured His own precious body being broken on the Cross and His very lifeblood being poured out before God the Father as the only offering for sin, to pay the price for your sins and for mine.

Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, it is staggering to try to realize that God Himself took on mortal flesh so that He could come and pay the price for our sins, so that we could be forgiven. It is indeed a thing of eternal wonderment that God should clothe Himself in human flesh to become the only possible sacrifice for sin. It is a thing of everlasting thanksgiving that Christ broke His body and spilt His life-blood so that by believing in His name, we might have everlasting life. For this, we praise Your name forever and ever, AMEN.

The fear of the Lord and reverence for His holy name is the foundation upon which each one of us should build our lives. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, the foundation of knowledge, and the gateway to truth. It is the key to spiritual insight and the singular requisite for godly instruction in righteousness.
 Today, we are flooded with worldly wisdom and swamped with knowledge and instruction from every section of humanity, but unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain to build it.
 Unless our knowledge is founded on a reverential fear of the Lord, and our wisdom is established from on high, we run the risk of becoming wise in our own understanding, rather than fools for Christ.
 Jesus Is The Foundation Upon Which Our Knowledge Is Founded, and He alone commands our reverential fear, humble worship, and eternal devotion. In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and we are positioned in Him.
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us and convicting us of sin, righteousness, and judgement, and thank You that by faith in Christ we have been brought into Your kingdom and placed into His Body. To You alone belongs our reverential fear, humble worship, and eternal devotion, through time and into eternity. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

It is in the power of the Holy Spirit that we are born from above and placed into the family of God.
 When we believed in Christ as Savior, our sins were forgiven and we were declared righteous before God. When we trusted Christ, we were immediately given a new spiritual birth; a new spiritual life in Him, by means of the Holy Spirit.
 A multitude of blessings were showered on us the very hour we first believed. We were immediately baptized into the Body of Christ, which is the Church, and were placed into the family of God. We were given a heavenly inheritance and were seated with Christ in heaven.
 Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God for His abundant grace, mercy and love for us. Let us praise Him, honor Him, and with joy in our hearts, acknowledge the wondrous gift of salvation given to all who believe.

How important therefore to learn the ways of the Lord. How vital to discover which paths He would have us to follow. And the Word of God is a light to our path and a lamp to illumine the way that God would have us tread. The Word of God is an instruction manual to teach us His ways, as well as a love-letter to all His children.
 We are not to walk in the counsel of wicked people, stand in the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of scoffers. We are to commit our way to the LORD; walk in the path that God has ordained, and trust in Him, knowing that He has promised to guide all those that are humble in heart and will teach them His way and His judgments.
 In the past, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Let us die to self and live unto the Lord so that we may know His ways, learn the lessons He would teach us, and Follow The Path That He Would Have Us Take.
Psalm 25:4 Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, give us teachable spirits and a desire to know Your ways. Keep us separated from the ways of wicked people and help us to walk daily in the path that you have set before us. Open our eyes to Your truth as we study Your Word, and help us to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, day by day. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
]]><![CDATA[The Responsibility We All Have Towards God And Our Fellow Believers]]>Sun, 29 Mar 2026 05:00:00 GMThttps://www.unitedbyprayer.com/united-by-prayer-wall/the-responsibility-we-all-have-towards-god-and-our-fellow-believers When Paul was converted to the Christian faith, he suddenly discovered the shocking consequences of his own unbelief because he recognized that his religious legalism had kept him estranged from God and excluded him from fellowship with the One he claimed to follow.
 Once he discovered that Jesus of Nazareth was his God and Savior, Paul's desire was to tell others of our great salvation. He wanted them to share in the hope we have in Christ and experience the great freedoms we enjoy by faith in Him.
 Paul's bold declaration on preaching the gospel follows a long passage that speaks of the great privileges that are ours in Christ, and details The Responsibility We All Have Towards God And Our Fellow Believers. As Paul reminds us, there are many responsibilities that accompany our great salvation. 
 Like the apostle Paul, we have received our salvation by faith in Christ, and like him we have nothing to boast about. Our salvation does not depend on what we do but on what Christ has already done on our account. Like Paul, with the privileges that accompany salvation, there are certain responsibilities we have towards both God and fellow believers.
 May we, like Paul, rejoice in the privileges that are ours by faith and consider the accompanying responsibilities as blessings to share rather than a burden to carry.
1 Corinthians 9:16 Yet when I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am obligated to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending the Lord Jesus to be the sacrifice for sin, and for the many privileges that accompany our great salvation. Thank You that salvation is free to all and comes without cost. We pray that we would feel constrained to carry out the good work that You have prepared for us to do and tell others the good news that Christ died for their sins and rose again so that by faith in Him, they too might have forgiveness of sin and life everlasting This we ask and Pray in Jesus' name, AMEN.
