True Stories To Pray For Today
Matthew 10:22–23 Reminds us of the reality of Persecuted Christians around the World.
Matthew 10:22-You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. Matthew 10:23-When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we pray right now for our brothers and sisters, your sons and daughters, our family in these countries. In places in the world where they are being persecuted for their faith in you. God, we pray for your strength for them. We pray for your help for them. Lord, we pray that you would uphold them with your righteous right hand. We pray that you would give them boldness to follow you and to proclaim you even at great costs. God, as we pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters and as we pray in our own lives, we say if we’re to be among that number, then we say, yes, Lord, we want to follow you. We want to proclaim you no matter what it costs us in this world. So help us all to do so faithfully all the way to the end. Help us to endure faithfully following you as disciples and making disciples of all the nations. In Jesus’ name we Pray. Amen. The Christmas tree is symbolic of birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The tree's branches and shrubs are viewed as an emblem of immortality.
The evergreen is the traditional Christmas tree. Its branches and triangular shape point heavenward, and its needles remain “ever green” all year to remind us of eternal life symbolized in the Tree of life. The custom goes back to when Christmas trees were decorated with candles, which symbolized Christ being the light of the world. The shape of the candy cane represents the crook-style with the shepherd’s staff. The candy cane's shape resembling a shepherd's crook symbolizes the guidance and care that God provides for His people, like a shepherd tending to his flock.
The "J" shape of the candy cane stands for "Jesus." The hardness of the candy cane represents the solid foundation of the Christian faith. The white color represents purity and the red stripes symbolize Christ's blood shed for humanity's salvation. Every Christmas wreath is more than just a decoration... it's a special reminder of Jesus, the reason for the season, our celebration of the birth of Jesus. The circle of a Christmas wreath is a never-ending ring, a reminder of the eternal love from our Lord and King. The Christmas wreath is a sign of welcome, inviting all to enter in your home, church or business... a reminder of Christ's invitation for all to come to Him. The middle of a Christmas wreath is a bare and empty space, a reminder of what life would be without Christ's love and grace. So each time you see a Christmas wreath hanging from a door, may your hearts rejoice in the One that Christmas is truly for! The Lord is full of loving-kindness and tender mercies to all who will call out to Him. We can all unite and all cry out to the Lord our God to show us His loving-kindness and to grant us His salvation. Whether willfully or through a small series of downward steps, we too can find ourselves straying from the paths of truth and righteousness, but God is ever ready to demonstrate His never-failing love and tender mercies to any of His children who turn from their sin and call on His name. The steadfast loving-kindness of the Lord is not only to be seen in the many blessings that fall from His hand each day, but are also seen in His chastening rod and His corrective discipline. And open to us are His everlasting arms that draw us back from our weary wanderings, our careless backsliding, or our willful disobedience. Today and every day in the world we live in, we need a never ending Revival, we are Alive Let Us Revive the Truth, The Way, The Light. Psalm 85: 6-7 Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us Your lovingkindness, O LORD, And grant us Your salvation. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, how we praise You that Your loving-kindness and tender mercies are new every morning. No matter where we are or how far we have fallen, You are faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, to cleanse us of all our faults, and to draw us back to Yourself with your cords of love and grace. Lord we pray for a never ending revival, to lift your name up to the world and help us share your words, your love your blessing with others in your name we Pray and Thank You, in Jesus' name, AMEN. |
