PRAYING TOGETHER AS A FAMILY

What I Can Do For God

7/31/2026

As those who have been born from above, we are called to walk according to a particular pattern that is evident in Paul, Timothy, Peter, John, and others who followed Christ's example of godly living. We are warned against chasing after false teachers who follow after their own fleshly lusts and dishonor the Lord Who bought them. We are exhorted to die to self, walk by faith, and live a holy life of self-sacrifice and praise as a testimony to the truth of God's Word - which is well-pleasing to our Heavenly Father.
The Christian life does not consist of what God can do for me, but What I Can Do For God Who loved me and gave Himself for me.
May we, by God's grace, become so Christ-like in our actions and attitude, minds and motive, words and walk, that we, like the apostle Paul, become an exemplary life to others and a pattern upon which they are able to model their own lives - for His greater praise and eternal glory.

Philippians 3:17 Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the life and ministry of the apostle, Paul. Thank You for the example he set of Christ-likeness, through self-sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You. Our heart’s cry is to know You more intimately, to love You more deeply, and to follow You more closely, no matter what the cost. May we know the power of Your resurrected life and be willing to fellowship in Christ’s suffering, for His name’s sake. May we present our lives to You as holy and living sacrifices. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

To Win The Prize

7/31/2026

Once a man or woman has trusted the Lord Jesus as Savior, they embark on a race through life to the finishing post. Once a person has been born again, they are to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Each believer is called to run the race that God has set before them. Every Christian has a specific purpose that God Himself has called them to achieve. Each have their own unique goal to attain and that goal is purposed and planned by the Father, it is God who works in each of His children both to will and to do that which pleases God.
No two life-journeys are the same, we all face our own particular problems, disappointments, and challenges, and we are all equipped with our own unique God-given abilities, gifts, and graces. But the call of God for all His children is a life that is being conformed into the image and likeness of the Lord Jesus; a life that is seeking to live godly in Christ Jesus, until it is no longer I who live, but Christ Who lives in me: "And the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me."
Let us run the race that is set before us, To Win The Prize, and press on towards the goal of the upward call of God, looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that are Your children. We want to live our lives the way that You have ordained and run the race that You have set before us. Help us to press on toward the goal of our calling in Christ Jesus, trusting in Him to overcome every problem, disappointment, and challenge we may face. May we always trust in our Savior, Who has overcome the world. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

Jesus Christ Is Lord

7/30/2026

Those who are saved by grace through faith will joyfully confess Jesus as their Savior and Lord and enter into His heavenly joy, while those who through foolish pride refused to acknowledge Him as God and reject His free offer of salvation will also confess that Jesus Christ Is Lord to the honor and glory of God. But they will be excluded forever from the heavenly joy that was once freely offered to all, by their gracious Creator: "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness." All who remain part of the old fallen race of humanity will remain condemned.
Let us never forget that the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe and let us share the truth with all who will listen so that many who kneel before Him will do so willingly, and joyfully confess Him as Savior and Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that You have made Yourself known to mankind through Your creation, through our God given consciences and through the inspired Scriptures. Please use us, in these times, to share the good news of Christ so that many may hear and believe that Jesus Christ is both Lord and Savior, to the glory of God the Father. In Jesus’ name we Pray, AMEN.

EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW

7/29/2026

Jesus is the One that is full of grace and truth and Who walked all His life in willing obedience to the Spirit of God, and we are called to follow His example by denying self and crying, "Thy will not mine be done."
We are encouraged to have this attitude in us which was in Christ Jesus "Who, although He existed eternally in the form of God, did not consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men."
Although He was fully God, He dressed Himself in sinless humanity and came to earth in appearance as a man. The Lord Jesus humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a Cross.
It is for this reason also, God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name so that "at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Philippians 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, thank You for Jesus, our Savior and King, our Lord and our God Who alone is worthy to receive all honor and praise. We pray that we draw ever closer to Him and that we may decrease and He may increase, until Christ is seen in us. In His name we Pray, AMEN.

the name that is above every name

7/28/2026

The simple, common, everyday name of 'Jesus' has thus become the name that is greater and more eminent than every other name that is named, His name is to be the most excellent name that is named in heaven or earth, throughout time and into eternity. He is the unique Man, the incarnate Word of God Who has secured for us the forgiveness of sin, life everlasting, an eternal inheritance, and that which is over and above all that we could ask or imagine. He was made sin for us so that we, who deserve punishment, may be declared righteous and clothed in His own perfect purity.
The life of the Christian should reflect his Lord. The attitude of Jesus should be mirrored in the life of every believer, and yet His was a life of deep pain and intense suffering. His was a life of humiliation, rejection, betrayal, and death. But His life of humiliation and death preceded His glorious Resurrection and exaltation, and we too must share in His suffering, and die to self if we are to live in newness of life and become a reflection of the beautiful Lord Jesus Christ.

Philippians 2:9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Father, that all we need can be found in Jesus. WE pray that we may decrease, and He may increase, in all we think and say and do, until Christ is formed in us, to Your praise and glory. Thank You that Christ is highly exalted and has been given the Name that is above every name. This we pray in the name of JESUS - Son of God and Son of Man - AMEN.

but to you of salvation, and that from God

The cunning lies of false teachers and the deceptive doctrines, are stumbling-blocks which can easily trip up lukewarm believers. Such adversaries can entice the careless Christian away from the glorious gospel of God into a myriad of falsehoods, fabrications, and deception, while the violence and atrocities which are committed against the people of God, are satanically inspired to whip up fear in the heart of the strongest saints. But we should not fear, in Christ we are more than conquerors.
Despite numerous opponents, adversaries, perils, and pitfalls, Paul reminds us that we are not to be alarmed by any of the opponents that seek to entrap and shipwreck us. Their animosity towards the children of God and their wily ways, are simply signs of the destruction that awaits them on the day of judgement. Their opposition to God's purpose, plan, and people, is an indication that they remain under the condemnation of the Lord, and a sign that perdition is their just reward.
The people of God, have received the salvation of the Lord because they have been counted worthy and declared righteous, by faith in Christ's sacrifice for their sins and although in this world, they are ridiculed, threatened, persecuted, and abused, they will inherit the kingdom of heaven:
but to you of salvation, and that from God
Praise God that we have been granted salvation from God because of our faith in Christ. May we be ready and willing, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His name's sake.
Philippians 1:28 and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, it is a sobering thought to know that those who reject the glorious gospel of Christ, bring judgement down on their own selves, and those that willfully oppose Your purpose and plan, are under Your eternal condemnation because they have not trusted in the One Person, Who alone has power over death, and in Whom are the words of eternal life. Use us as witnesses that points others to Christ, and we pray that we may decrease so that He may increase, until it is not us that lives, but Christ that lives in us. This we ask in His precious name, AMEN.

Christ Is Preached

7/26/2026

Much within the Church letters is designed to refute false teachings and a distorted gospel. Not only do we find Paul challenging the manipulation of the good news of Christ by legalists, liberalists, and agnostics alike, but he also identifies others who were jealous of his apostolic calling. They were teaching the true gospel out of jealousy and resentment of God's unique calling upon Paul's life.
The most important thing in Paul's economy was that Christ Is Preached, no matter what the motive behind a man's teaching might be. Paul's chains were the vehicle whereby the soldiers of the Praetorian Guard were being brought to salvation in Christ, and the people that taught the gospel with a wrong motive were nonetheless bringing many into the kingdom of God.
Too often in Christian ministry and Church gatherings, there is resentment against other Christian leaders because of what God is doing in their lives. This can often lead to rivalry, bitterness, jealousy, and resentment. This ought not to be. Let us share the good news of the gospel in truth. But let us also rejoice that whatever the motive that other believers may have, when they share the true gospel of Christ, whether it is in pretense or in truth, that Christ is being proclaimed.

Philippians 1:18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that we are part of the Body of Christ and for the work that You have called us to do. Help us to rejoice over the ministries of others that are sharing the truth of the gospel of Christ, even when their motives may be ungodly, or when it conflicts with our own cultural differences or churchmanship. WE pray that wherever You place us, we will be content to finish the work You have called us to do and rejoice in the work that you have called others to do, in spirit and truth. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

God Can Turn Any Obstacle In Your Life Into A Blessed Opportunity

7/25/2026

No matter what circumstances we find ourselves to be in and however problematic, distressing, or frightening our situation may become, we may be sure that every day that passes can be used by God for the good, and every happening in our lives is an opportunity for the greater progress of the gospel.
This little verse is a glorious example of Christ's victory over evil and His omnipotent ability to bring triumph from terrors and tragedies. God can bring beauty from ashes and God Can Turn Any Obstacle In Your Life Into A Blessed Opportunity, where the gospel of Christ can be preached and the name of Jesus lifted up.
God can change each insurmountable stumbling-bock into a divinely appointed springboard for the furtherance of the gospel of Christ. He is able and willing to do this in the life of anyone who is humbly submitted to His leading and prepared to say: "Thy will be done in my life."
Let us in all things, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving and joy, present our souls and bodies as a living sacrifices to God, knowing that He will use the circumstances of our lives for the greater progress of the gospel, if we will simply let Christ rule in our hearts.

Philippians 1:12 Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, how we thank You that You are our God. No matter what situation we find ourselves in and whatever problems we may be called upon to face, it can be used by You for the furtherance of the gospel of grace. Help us to be joyful in our hope in Christ, knowing that You can use every circumstance of our lives for the greater progress of the gospel. Help us to be persevering in tribulation and devoted to prayer. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

May We Be Filled With The Fruit Of Righteousness

7/24/2026

Salvation in all its stages has nothing to do with our own merit or good works, but has everything to do with faith in Christ and HIS good work. He paid the price for sin on our account, freely and without cost, and He broke the power of sin in our life so that He could live in us, carry out His righteous work through us, and produce in us the fruit of righteousness as a living testimony of His goodness and grace.
We are declared legally righteous at conversion (justification) and immediately imputed with Christ's righteousness. However, we have a responsibility to produce the fruit of personal righteousness during our Christian life (through a process of sanctification), as we carry out the good work God has prepared for us to do. We do this through faith in Christ, and in the power of the Spirit, until we are wholly perfected when we get to heaven (glorification).
May We Be Filled With The Fruit Of Righteousness that only comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory of God and the praise of His holy name. May we show forth the fruit of righteousness through the praises of our lips, the attitude of our heart, and a life that is consecrated to His perfect will.
May we abide in Him and He in us so that our lives will produce the fruit of the Spirit and we will stand sincere and blameless before Him.

Philippians 1:11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
Our United Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for imputing us with Christ's righteousness as a free gift of grace. We offer ourselves to You today and pray that in the power of the Spirit, we would be filled with the fruits of righteousness, for the glory of Your name. We pray that our lives would continue to produce much fruit, all for Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

God's Love Is Everlasting And Indestructible

7/23/2026

The Love Of God is as unfathomable as it is eternal, yet the Lord Jesus commanded us to love as He loved, and Paul prayed that love would overflow in our hearts. Paul's difficult trials and the chains of tribulation that constrained him did not cause him to become bitter in his attitude towards God. Rather, he recognized that in all things, God, in His gracious-love and tender-mercy, was using them for good.
God's Love Is Everlasting And Indestructible. His love is infinite and without measure, and however much love has been poured into our hearts from above, there is always more room for His over-abounding love. His love flows from His well-spring of life and is a never-ending source and supply of all that is needed for life and godliness.
But it was not simply an abundance of love for which Paul prayed, but that their love would abound more and more in real knowledge and discernment. He prayed that the love in their hearts would be endowed with godly wisdom, and a knowledge of the holy that is able to approve things that are excellent so that they may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.

Philippians 1:9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the privilege of prayer and for placing us in Your family as Your children. How blessed we are to be members of the body of Christ, and we thank You for the example that Paul the apostle set, as he lifted up the body of Christ in prayer. We pray also for our brothers and sisters in Christ, that their love may increase and multiply and that they too grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In His name we Pray, AMEN.

The Word of God

7/22/2026

The weapon that we are to use to defeat all our foes in this earthly walk is the Bible, provided for us by our Heavenly Father. The holy Scriptures that have been penned by the prophets and divinely inspired of the Holy Spirit for our learning, is the blade that will cut through every attack from the enemy.
It was the Sword of the Spirit that the Lord Jesus grasped when He was tempted by Satan in the wilderness. Each time the enemy's subtle taunts, which were designed to cause Him to stumble in His mission, were countered with the proclamation, "It is written... it is written... it is written…" It is The Word of God that is the weapon of victory that we must grasp in our hands and our hearts, with it we can face every accusation of Satan and every doubt that is planted in our minds.
With such a weapon as the Sword of the Spirit, the many examples of Jesus Himself wielding that weapon so effectively, and the promises pertaining to the Word, let us all buckle on the armor that God has provided, and firmly grasp hold of the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, in both our heart and our hands so that we too may be able to stand firm and walk proudly wearing our helmet of salvation.

Ephesians 6:17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, thank You for the many provisions You have made for our protection against the evil enemy that seeks to defeat and destroy our trust in You. Thank You for our salvation, through faith in Jesus. Teach us Your Word so that we may be effective in our daily walk with You and our witnessing to others. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

Take Up The Shield Of Faith

7/21/2026

Saving faith is not the type of faith about which this passage is speaking. This Scripture is addressed to those that are already saved. It instructs believers that ongoing, sanctifying faith is a necessary protection throughout our Christian life. The Shield-of-Faith, when utilized correctly, will protect our hearts and souls from all the flaming arrows of the enemy, during our time on earth.
There are many pieces of spiritual armor which God has prepared for our protection during our time on earth, and those that know their God and trust His Word will continuously carry that Shield-of-Faith by taking every thought captive to Christ, by keeping their eyes of faith on Jesus, and by resisting every attack of the enemy through standing firm on the Word of faith.
May we stand fast and Take Up The Shield Of Faith moment by moment, knowing that with it, we are able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of evil and stand victorious by the power of His Spirit, which is given by faith in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ephesians 6:16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that You have fully equipped us to overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil, with such wonderful pieces of spiritual armor. Thank You for the Shield Of Faith, with which we are enabled to extinguish all the flaming arrows and fiery darts of the evil one. Help us to stand fast on the promises of God and to keep our eyes looking to Jesus. Thank You that we have not only been saved by grace through faith in Him, but that in the power of the Holy Spirit we may live by grace through faith. We Pray that we live by faith and not by sight, to Your eternal praise and glory. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

The Pathway That leads To The Righteousness Of God

7/20/2026

We are all so familiar with the armor of God as laid out in Ephesians 6... but no matter how much we learn about it, there is so much more to discover. Every piece of our spiritual armor points us to the Lord Jesus, the eternal Son of God, and every aspect of our holy covering is immeasurable.
The very first piece of our protective covering is truth. We are instructed to have our loins, "girt about with truth," without the gospel of truth which comes from above, we believe a lie. Without the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ, we are dead in our sin and condemned to an eternity without God.
We are to bind the truth to our heart and meditate upon it day and night. We are to test all things by the Word of Truth and allow it to foster integrity in our heart and faithfulness to our calling. We are to know the truth that comes from God for the truth will set us free. We are to speak the truth to others, in love.
It is only as we believe the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ, that we are saved by grace through faith in His finished work at Calvary. Truth is the highway to holiness and The Pathway That leads To The Righteousness Of God. He is 'the Lord our Righteousness' for we have no virtue of our own.
We are to continue in our day-to-day spiritual battle by participating in a progressing, practical, ongoing sanctification process. Only as we are undergirded with truth, overshadowed with His life, and holding fast to Christ's righteousness, will we be protected from the assaults of the enemy.

Ephesians 6:14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus is the Way and the Truth and the Life and that we have been clothed in His own righteousness by grace through faith. As we live out our lives, we pray that we may walk in integrity, speak the truth in love, and be continuously clothed in Christ's own righteousness  so that we may stand firm in your words, and having done all to hear You say, "well done, good and faithful soldiers," to Your praise and glory, AMEN.

Put On The Full Armor Of God

7/19/2026

We are called upon to take-up our weapons of warfare and to Put On The Full Armor Of God, which is another way of saying: "Clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ." Paul is calling believers to put on Christ, to abide in Christ and to rest in Him as He abides in us.
Nowhere are we called upon to stamp on the enemy's head or rebuke Satan as many like to teach. Even the archangel Michael said: "The LORD rebuke you, Satan." However, we are called upon in Scripture, to resist and repel the enemy.
We are not to compromise with the ways of the world, nor are we to be deceived by the darkness of our fallen age. We are called to resist in the evil days and to clothe ourselves with Christ so that we may be able to stand firm on the truth of the Word of God, as we pray in spirit and truth with all prayer and supplication,
May we be faithful to fulfil the privileged position we have as members of Christ's spiritual army, and may we never seek to come against the enemy in the power of our own flesh or prideful self, but rather, may we take up our heavenly armor as we pray in the spirit and remain covered in Christ in Whose name we stand.

Ephesians 6:13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we pray that we may take up the full armor of God and resist all the works of the enemy in this evil day in which we live. We pray that we may walk in spirit and truth, being clothed in Christ's own righteousness. May we receive the power from above to stand fast in this time and to resist the principalities and powers to Your praise and glory. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

Do Not Be Afraid

7/18/2026

Christ's little band of disciples were the frightened little flock that He addressed, as contempt for Jesus and His disciples grew in intensity and fervor. While being tenderly addressed as Christ's 'little flock', his followers were increasingly regarded as foolish and unimportant by the proud religious leaders of the day. Nevertheless, they were given a most precious assurance by their Lord and Savior: Do Not Be Afraid, little flock "For your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom."
No words of greater encouragement could have been given to Christ's disciples as they encountered increasing hostility from the Scribes, Pharisees, and Jewish leaders - blind leaders of the blind who refused the truth so that they could embrace the lie.
But there were other sheep in different sheep-folds for the Good Shepherd to care for, and so the Father also GAVE the same unique Son of His love because He loved the world so much that whosoever would believe in His name, would not perish and be condemned, but have everlasting life and be forever free from God's condemnation.

Luke 12:32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, thank You that Your grace has been extended to all who will believe in the Lord Jesus as the Good and Great Shepherd of all the lost people of the world, including us. Thank You for saving us and drawing us into Your eternal sheep-fold. In Jesus' name we Pray. AMEN.
