To keep God's Commands is to obediently submit our new-life-in-Him to the leading and guidance of God's Holy Spirit. We can model our lives on the life of Christ Himself, as He obediently submitted His earthly life into the safekeeping of His Father in heaven. He only said and did those things that He heard from above. As maturing believers, we can only go through God's training program of ongoing sanctification successfully, as we learn obedience by the things that we suffer and as we willingly submit to the deep work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Only then, in His power and strength, we may learn to walk in the light, to grow in grace, to mature in the faith, to love as Christ loved, and to enjoy unbroken fellowship with our Father in heaven. 1 John 2:3 We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Heavenly Father, thank You that in Christ, both the penalty for our sins have been paid and the power of sin in our lives has been broken, enabling us to live our lives as Christ lived His, in spirit and truth. May we submit to Your Holy Spirit’s working within. May we live our lives as Christ lived His life, in willing submission and total dependence upon You. The heavens above do indeed declare the beauty and splendor of our Heavenly Lord, and His magnificent handiwork is most certainly reflected in the glorious works that He has performed by the might of His power. The language of nature and the poetry of the heavens above and the earth beneath, pour forth a never-ending message of worship and praise, as it proclaims the wonderful works of God. A Heart That Meditates On The Glory Of The Lord and lifts up the person of the Lord Jesus, is the one that exhibits an inner grace and beauty, such a one is willingly being transformed into the likeness of the Christ, out of the mouth comes thoughts that are conceived in the heart. May we have humility of heart, sanctify the words of our mouth, the meditation of our heart, the thoughts of our minds, and the motives of our inner being so that all we say and all we do, will be pleasing and acceptable in the sight of our precious Lord and Savior. Psalm 19:14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. Our United Prayer:

In His name we Pray, AMEN. More often than not we have to discard certain preconceived notions, acquired biases, legalistic practices, and even some cultural traditions when we become a Christian. We are to put off the old and put on the new. If anyone is in Christ he or she is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. The enemy of our soul is no less deceptive in our day than he was in those early days of Christianity. We in the 21st century should be equally alert to the wiles of the enemy. We are no less likely to be deceived by charlatan teachers and unbiblical doctrines, and should be able to discern true spirituality as opposed to a false form of godliness. We should be ready and able to judge the trickster in our midst. One of the greatest tools at our disposal is The Word Of God. Let us study to show ourselves approved unto Him and lift high the Lord Jesus Christ Who alone is worthy of all praise and worship. 1 Corinthians 12:3 Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus is our Lord and my God, and that He came to earth from heaven to die on the cross for our sins, and the sins of the whole world. Thank You that You lifted us out of sin and seated us together with Christ in heavenly places. Give us the wisdom and discernment to identify pretenders in the faith, who are sheep in wolves clothing... and increasingly open the eyes of our understanding to know You more, and to love You better. This we ask in Jesus' precious name, AMEN. As believers in Christ, we plead His righteousness. As Christians, we come to God in the name of Jesus. We are not worthy to gather up the crumbs under His table, but we can boldly approach the throne of grace because we appeal to Christ's worthiness and call on His righteousness. We petition the Father through the precious blood of His only begotten Son, and we approach the throne of grace in the name of Jesus. We approach the Father through the Son, and we have this incredible access through The Power Of The Holy Spirit. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. As we reflect on what Christ has done for us and as we contemplate what the Father has graciously given to sinners who are deserving of hell, should not the soul of every blood-bought child of God thrill with grateful thanks and never-ending praise? What a privilege to know that it is through Christ alone that we have access by one Spirit to the Father. Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Heavenly Father, it is by the grace of God that we are what we are: blood-bought children of God with free access into Your presence to find grace to help in time of need. Thank You that Christ paid the full price for our sins and willingly gave up His life so that we might live eternally. Thank You that today He is in heaven interceding for us, and thank You that we have the Holy Spirit, giving us access to You every moment of the day. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. The amazing love of God, binds us together in worship and praise to our Heavenly Father Whose loves for us is so profound, that He gave His only begotten Son to become our substitute for sin, while the supernatural love of Jesus is such that while we were yet sinners, Christ died on our account so that we might be forgiven of our sin, receive a new life in Him, become united with Christ and abide with Him forever. Faith, enables us to worship in spirit and truth. It empowers us to carry out the work that God has prepared for us to do and it emboldens us to engage in the spiritual warfare of this age, effectively. Peace and love with faith, comes directly from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The unity of the triune, combines to bestow peace to the brethren, and Love With Faith. The divine equality of Father and Son is meted out in clear view in this verse; we are blessed with every spiritual blessing by the Father, through the Son, both are equivalent in honor, glory, might, majesty, dominion, and power, forever and ever, amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for Your perfect peace and gracious love which is bestowed on all Your children through faith in Christ. Thank You that there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus, and that no one can remove the perfect peace You place within our hearts, through the almighty power of the Holy Spirit. Thank You, in Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. The Word of God is living and powerful and As Christians We Are Called To Hear And Heed His Word, but there are many pitfalls which can cause the living seed of God's Word to fall on deaf and unbelieving ears. They might hear the sound, the syntax, and the sentence with their ears, but fail to understand the spiritual truth within their heart. So the Lord spoke to the crowd in veiled language so that those who had ears to hear would hear and would understand. As we open the written Word of God, may we focus upon it, hearing it, understanding it, and putting into practice the glorious truths within. May the living Word, Jesus Christ, be the focus of our lives as we seek to live our lives to glorify Him. Matthew 13:9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.” Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us to have listening ears and to hear all that You have to say to us. Give us teachable spirits, and may we grow in grace and in knowledge of You. Help us to trust Your Word implicitly, for Your Word is truth. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. The incredible freedom we received in Christ, released us from the recurring need to offer daily sacrifices to God. It freed us from the annual obligations to have our sins covered for another year by the insufficient blood of bulls and goats. Having been saved through our faith in Christ, ALL our sins: past, present, and future, are forgiven, and we are to put off our old former ways. We are to live by faith and we are to walk in spirit and truth. Some Christians use the incredible freedom we have in Christ to indulge in worldly ways and carnal activities. They exploit our spiritual privileges and pervert the Word of God by proclaiming that we are free to indulge in whatsoever ungodly acts and fleshly inclinations take our fancy. This is outrageous and such misappropriation of God's Word is unacceptable, unscriptural, and should be challenged and changed. We have spiritual armor to protect ourselves from the ravages of the flesh, and we have been given God's sufficient grace to stand fast in this evil day and resist the devil and all his worldly temptations. We are to live as Christ lived: in holiness and righteousness all the days of our life, and we are to love and serve one another in the same way that Christ loved us and gave Himself for us. Galatians 5:13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for this important reminder that both legalism and a license to sin is unacceptable in the lives of children of God. Thank You for the freedom we have in Christ, and help us to live in holiness and righteousness to Your praise and glory, serving others through Christ's love, which only comes as we continue to abide in Him and He in us. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. We are to be filled with the Spirit of God, to grow in grace, and abide in Christ. We are exhorted to meditate on His Word, day and night - teaching, admonishing, and comforting one another in all wisdom. We are to sing God's Word with psalms, in hymns and spiritual songs, and by His grace we are encouraged to make melody in our hearts to the Lord. We live in a fast-moving world, where we are increasingly beset by difficulties, dangerous afflictions, and persecution. Let us never forget the comfort and solace that can be received, moment by moment, from the Word of God as we abide in Him and He in us. The more we abide in Christ - Who is the living WORD of God, the more He is revealed to us through His written WORD. It is only as we walk in spirit and truth that we will increasingly discover the beauty and wonder of "Your Word," as expressed so eloquently in Psalm 119. Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful written Word of God and the great comfort we receive from its pages. Thank You for Jesus, the Word made flesh, and for the loving comfort and grace we receive daily from knowing Him as my Savior. Help us to use our time wisely and delight to read, mark, learn, inwardly digest, and meditate on the Scriptures, night and day. Thank You that Your Word is light and life, comfort and joy, refreshment and sustenance, to all who are oppressed and weary. In Jesus' name, AMEN. The nations of the world have chosen to rebel against the Lord, and His hand of blessing is being withdrawn before He comes to address the evil of this age during the 7 year Tribulation period. Israel will always be the nation whose God is the Lord, but Israel has been set aside for a season until "the fullness of the Gentiles has come in." But Paul tells us, "all Israel will be saved," when they repent of their sins, return to the God of their fathers, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ - which they will do as a nation at the end of the Tribulation period. But Truly Blessed, Without Measure, is the man, the woman, the people, the nation whose God is the LORD. Truly blessed are His people and His Body, which is the Church. He loved the world so much that He sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him should not perish but become inheritors of His coming kingdom and be given life everlasting. Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, we thank You that we are Your children and that Your promises to both Israel and the Church are irrevocable. Look down with pity on those that are lost in trespasses and sins and we pray that many more people may come to faith in Jesus Christ Who is the only way, the only truth, the only life, and the only Savior. In His name we Pray, AMEN. All who receive the Lord Jesus as the Word of God made flesh, are given the right to become children of God, even to those that believe on His name, and there are many who truly believe in Christ as Savior, many who have trusted Him as their Redeemer, many who have placed faith in the only begotten Son of God for their salvation. A Christian is not necessarily a disciple of Jesus, but disciples of Christ are certainly Christians. Believers who have learned and are continuing to learn more and more of Christ Jesus are truly those who can call themselves disciples. When we obey the Word of God and learn of Christ, we grow in spiritual knowledge and our spiritual understanding matures. The more we grow in our Christian life, the more we develop in our freedom from the sin nature that keeps us in bondage, and that freedom in Christ sets us free to live our life in spirit and truth. Let us abide in the Word of God so that we may learn of Christ and grow in grace, for if we truly abide in Christ and He in us we will certainly be His disciples and we will know the truth and The Truth Will Set You Free. John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set us free.” Our United Prayer:
Lord, we want to know You more, abide in Your Word, and become true learners of You. Help us, Lord, to learn of You and grow in grace. We want to know the truth and to be set free from the bondage of sin, a freedom that only comes as we abide in You. We ask this in Jesus' name, AMEN. Freedom is the cry of every man and woman, every boy and every girl. And Jesus proclaimed: "If the Son makes you free, you will be FREE INDEED." How important to recognize that there is a huge chasm between knowing facts about the truth as a historical fact, or as some detailed information, and actually knowing the truth about the unique Person and saving Work of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is a vast difference between knowing about Jesus and knowing the Person of Jesus - having a personal relationship with Him, as outlined in the Scriptures. Every man and woman is born dead in sin. Everyone lives in bondage to sin. Everyone is a slave of sin and is entrapped by sin. Every man and woman is estranged from God and shackled by the heavy weight of sin. But there is one way, and only one way to be set free from slavery to sin, Satan, death, and the curse of the law - and that is to know Christ personally - not simply to know historical facts about Him, but to know Him as one's own personal Savior Who willingly died in our place to pay the price for our sin. When we are set free from slavery to sin, Satan, death, and the curse of the law by the redeeming blood of God's only begotten Son, we know the Son as Savior and the Son, Who loves us, gave Himself for us, and sets us free forever. John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus. Thank You for sending Your Son to be our Savior and for setting us free from slavery to sin. Thank You that in Christ we are set free from the curse of the Law, and thank You that the punishment that we deserve for our sins was paid for us by the Lord Jesus Christ, so that by faith in Him we are truly set free. May we live our lives to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. Christian liberty is not a dangerous doctrine as the legalists and law-mongers would have us believe. Legalism seeks to change the old sin nature from the outside and forces it to obey God's perfect, unachievable Law in our own strength, but it fails every time. The surrendered believer who is walking in spirit and truth, is yielded to the guidance of the Holy Spirit Who works through our new life in Christ, and over time we discover an inner discipline at work. The spiritual Christian discovers the righteous requirements of God's law being fulfilled in and through them. How wonderful to discover this godly FREEDOM we have in Christ Who has set us free from the yoke of bondage by means of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is working in us, day by day, transforming our new life in Christ into the image and likeness of the Lord Jesus Christ. Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that we have been set free by Christ and are no longer under bondage to the Law. Thank You that through the Holy Spirit's work within, we are enabled to live our lives for others and not for selfish inclinations. Continue to work in us and through us so that we may live lives that are pleasing to You and glorifying to Your holy name, and keep us from falling back under bondage to legalistic practices, knowing that we have been set free by grace through faith in Christ's finished work on Calvary. This we ask in Jesus' Holy name, AMEN. What comfort, rest, and reassurance wash the hearts and minds of believers when reflecting on the overwhelming love of God and the depth and height and length and breadth to which His grace extends. His mercy dwarfs the mightiest mountains, it reaches into the highest heavens. His love plunges beyond the bottomless depths of the deepest oceans, and His LOVE AND FAITHFULNESS, righteousness, and justice plummet to the very depths of our understanding and extend into the farthest reaches of our limited grasp. This knowledge of God is not for the unregenerate, the wisdom of God is foolishness to them. Indeed, God's foolishness is wiser than mankind's wisdom, and His weakness is stronger than mankind's combined strength. But such understanding is sweetness and strength to the sanctified soul, for true knowledge of the Holy-One is spiritually discerned. The knowledge that comes from the Lord quickens our heart, comforts our soul, informs our thoughts, and translates into joy and peace. May we lift our hearts morning by morning and every moment of our transient lives, by raising our voices in joyful thanks and praise. God's loyal love reaches to the sky, His faithfulness extends beyond the clouds, and His saving grace spans the eternal ages to come. Psalm 36:5 Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Our United Prayer:
When we reflect on Who You are our Lord and God, it gives us a peep into the magnificence of Your person, Your will and Your character. Thank You, for the many reassurances that You give our fainting souls, in these precious promises about Your nature and character. Thank You for expressing Your love, faithfulness, might and justice in the Person of the Lord Jesus. Thank You for sending Him to die on the cross and to rise into newness of life, so that we may be brought into fellowship with Yourself. May we be bold in sharing the truth of Your magnificence with all You put in our paths. In Jesus’ name we Pray, AMEN. The Tree of Life stands like two majestic book-ends in the Word of God. In Genesis we find this life-giving Tree growing in the midst of the garden of Eden, offering eternal life to Adam who was made in God's image and likeness. All he had to do was to simply choose to take and eat of the fruit that hung from its branches, he could freely eat of every tree in the garden with one exception. In Revelation, we discover the return of the Tree of Life standing in the midst of the paradise of God: "It will produce twelve types of fruits, and yield its fruit each month, while its leaves are given for the healing of the nations." Paradise lost, in the beginning, becomes Paradise restored at the end and whoever 'overcomes' will be able to eat from 'the Tree of Life'. Whoever's faith is credited with righteousness will be able to eat of its life-giving fruit: "Whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith." Blessed are the ones that trust in the Lord and whose hope is in the Lord our God. He is the true Vine in Whom is life eternal; He is the Bread of life; He is the living water, the Rock of our salvation, and the Hope of all the ends of the earth. A Longing Fulfilled Is A Tree Of Life: ALL who feed on Him in their hearts by faith, with thanksgiving, will eat of the Tree of Life and find Him to be their Source and Sustainer through time and into eternity. Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that Christ is the Light of the world, and in Him is life, and health, and wholeness. Thank You that in Him, we find peace with God when we trust Him for our salvation. Lord, the peace You give is so wonderful it cannot be found anywhere else. Your heavenly peace which passes understanding, guards our hearts and minds and enlivens our souls. Thank You for Your amazing plan of redemption for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting, and that the day is coming when we will see Jesus face to face and have full and free access to the living Tree of Life. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. The days in which we live mirror the days about which James was writing, and the lesson that they were to learn is one that we need to understand fully and apply consistently if we are to resist the temptation of Satan who seeks to shipwreck our faith. Let us consider times of testing in our lives as a God-given opportunity to produce in us perseverance, steadfastness, and patient endurance. If we can consider the obstacles of life to be opportunities that mature our faith and produce in us patient endurance, we will come to understand that God is using the trials of life to benefit our Christian character, and to help us grow more like the Lord Jesus. When trouble comes our way, let us consider it an opportunity for great joy, knowing that The Testing Of Your Faith, our patient endurance has a chance to grow and our life will glorify our Father, Who is in heaven. James 1:3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we desire to grow in grace and become more like Jesus. We are beginning to understand that in this life, we will have testing's and trials. We pray that You will keep us steady in the trials of life. Thanks be to God that by the power of the Holy Spirit, the testing of our faith will develop perseverance in us.
