He Identified With Us

 When lives are lived on the un-sanctified wisdom of the world and people allow the clever skills and philosophies of others to influence their own thought processes, in preference to the Word of God.. those lives will be characterized as spiritual weakness, doctrinal error and a tendency towards an inflated ego.
 As we seek to live for God in a world where He is being eliminated, one of the most amazing parts of Christ's substitutionary work on the cross - is that He not only died FOR our sins as our sin-substitute but He died to sin on our account, breaking the POWER of sin as well as paying the PRICE of sin. He Identified With Us so that we could identify with both His death and His resurrection, so that HIS death became OUR death (death to the self-life) and HIS life became OUR life (our new eternal life in Christ). He bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for God, through the power of Jesus Christ our Lord and our Life.
For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for our salvation and our redemption and that we are fully reconciled to You through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You that Jesus is the propitiation for our sins and that He was willing to identify with our sinfulness so that we may be eternally identified with His death and resurrected life; which we have received by grace through faith in His sacrificial work on Calvary's cross. Praise His holy name. we pray that in the days ahead we set all else aside, except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified, in Whose name we pray, AMEN.
