In this precious Psalm, David lists The Qualities Of A Spiritual Person whose faith is credited to them as righteousness. He addresses the rhetorical question to God Himself by asking: "Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle and who may dwell in Your holy hill?" Then he promptly lists a number of Observable Qualities that are the outward, identifying marks of a man or woman who believes in the existence of God and trusts Him to fulfil all that He has promised in His Word, such are the qualities of the man or woman of God who walks in spirit and truth and abides in Christ, and He in him. As believers who have been born from above, we are positioned in Christ, we are clothed in His own righteousness, and our joy and delight should be to walk with integrity, to work the works of righteousness, and to speak the truth in our heart. The fool may say in his heart that there is no God, but the born-again believer is the one who, by grace through faith and in the power of the Holy Spirit, is enabled to walk with integrity, work the works of righteousness, speak truth in their heart, guard their words, and tame their tongue. They are the ones who do good and not evil to their neighbors and who think of others as better than themselves. They are the ones who warrant off evil and seek to do good. They are the ones who lives reflect honesty, truthfulness, trustworthiness, and grace, and they are the ones who put on the whole armor of God and stand fast in the Lord and in the power of His might. Psalm 15:2 The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the truths that are contained in the Psalms of David and the many lessons that we can learn from them. Thank You that, by faith, we have been positioned in Christ and are seated with Him in heavenly places. We pray that we may give Him the honor due to His name, by walking in integrity and righteousness all the days of our lives. We pray that we would speak the truth in love, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to Your praise and glory. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
