Lord, this year has been hard for many of us at our tables. While there has been some sweet moments, it's also been hard for many. The challenges we have faced this year have been overwhelming for some, and as we gather this coming week, we cannot ignore the fact that these feelings still linger as does the pain for some. But for these next few days, we remember that you are a God who loves us, cares for us, heals us, and forgives us. Help us to enjoy this time. In the lingering bitterness, give us peace in our lives as we give Thanksgiving for all you do for us. In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen.

For Every common task to which we place on our children's shoulders it is our duty to which we are called to teach them and it can only be successfully discharged as we rely on the Lord Jesus Christ for guidance and strength. We are to teach our children how to live and work and be strong in the LORD, and in the power of His might - not in the strength and power of our own, fleshly, human abilities. Teaching our children that it is not by their strength or by their own power or wisdom that they can do all things - but through Christ, Who gives them His strength. Without HIM they can do nothing but they can do all things through Christ, "Not by might nor by power - but by My Spirit says the Lord."  Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, teach us to teach our children, how to look to Jesus each moment of the day for their strength, and not to rely their own, imperfect, human abilities and intelligence, for without You they can do nothing. But thanks be to God that as they rest in Christ Jesus, He will empower them through the Holy Spirit, to carry out Your will for their lives. Father, we confess that without You we can do nothing, but thanks be to God that we can do all things through Christ, Who strengthens us in teaching our children, through the power of the Holy Spirit and we ask for this blessing for all the children of this world, in Jesus name we Pray AMEN. |
