LGBTQ Catholics march through St. Peter’s Basilica in Jubilee rite as Vatican calendar entry stirs controversy Pope Francis' welcoming approach cited as paving way for inclusion despite unchanged Church teaching Over 1,000 LGBTQ Catholics and their families walked through the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica this weekend as part of a Jubilee pilgrimage listed on the Vatican’s official Holy Year calendar.
The event appeared under the neutral title "Pilgrimage of the Tenda di Gionata Association (Jonathan's Tent) and other associations" for Sept. 6, 2025, on their website. The listing marks the first time an LGBTQ pilgrimage has been included in the Vatican’s Jubilee program. Many pilgrims hailed it as a sign of welcome following Pope Francis’ 12-year papacy, while critics in Catholic media blasted the move as undermining church tradition. Pilgrims came from the U.S., Italy and Brazil. Groups included DignityUSA, Outreach and a delegation of transgenders from Rome. Many pointed to Pope Francis’ record, from his 2013 remark, "Who am I to judge?" to his decision allowing priests to bless same-sex couples as paving the way for the pilgrimage. While never changing the church's teaching on homosexuality, Francis met repeatedly with LGBT advocates. It is clear in the Bible where God stands on this issue. This is our remarks at United By Prayer. We must all pray for the Catholic Religion and the LGBTQ community, they are in dire need.

President Donald Trump's new OPM head says that 'no federal employee should be forced to choose between their faith and their federal service.'
In his first week as head of President Donald Trump’s U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Scott Kupor issued new guidance to executive agency directors cracking down on religious discrimination in the federal workforce.
The memo, obtained by Fox News Digital, encourages the use of telework, flexible schedules and leave options to meet "reasonable" religious needs while maintaining efficient agency operations. The new guidance instructs the heads and acting heads of executive agencies and departments that they must make certain religious accommodations for workers, such as abstaining from work during specific times or participating in religious observances or practices.
Faith brings light to devastated Texas town after deadly flooding disaster
'There’s death down on the river, but there’s life up on this mountain,' artist Max Greiner Jr. told Fox News Digital
KERR COUNTY, Texas – Volunteers have descended upon Kerr County, Texas, in the days following last weekend’s disastrous flood.
While many have come to help with searches, cleanup efforts and donations, others are looking to heal the community in a different way. Several faith-based groups are working to help survivors and victims’ families lean on God as they grapple with the long road to recovery. Devastating floods across central Texas have killed at least 51 people after a storm pounded the region. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued a proclamation declaring Sunday as a day of prayer across the state in response to the flooding. President Donald Trump on Sunday said that he signed a major disaster declaration for Kerr County, Texas, after deadly flash floods devastated the region.
Trump made the announcement in a post on his Truth Social platform, writing that it will “ensure that our Brave First Responders immediately have the resources they need.” “These families are enduring an unimaginable tragedy, with many lives lost, and many still missing,” the president’s post read. “The Trump Administration continues to work closely with State and Local Leaders. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was on the ground yesterday with Governor Greg Abbott, who is working hard to help the people of his Great State. Our incredible U.S. Coast Guard, together with State First Responders, have saved more than 850 lives. GOD BLESS THE FAMILIES, AND GOD BLESS TEXAS!” The death toll across Central Texas climbed to nearly 70 on Sunday morning after officials in Kerr County provided an update. Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha said 59 people were confirmed dead, while the missing included 11 young girls and one counselor from Camp Mystic along the banks of the Guadalupe River in Hunt, Texas. |
