Faith comes by hearing and so the more we hear the gospel, the more it becomes a part of our being and the more we truly trust the Word of God. If we believe "that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures," then we have heard His Word, believed the Father Who sent Him, and "are given eternal life, and will not come under judgment but have passed from death to life." "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, keep us ever mindful of Your Word and the truth that is contained in the plain message of Scripture and the glorious gospel of grace. We praise and thank You that we have passed from death to life, by believing on Jesus. Guide us to lead others to you daily so that they too can make The Great Crossover. In His name we pray, AMEN. We are God's masterpiece, made in Christ Jesus in order that we may be able to perform the good acts and good works, which God prepared for us to do before we were even born. These actions and works cannot be performed by the old person we were before salvation. These actions and works can only be carried out through our new life in Christ, which is governed and guided by the Holy Spirit working in and through us. How wonderful that we truly are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, praise Your wonderful name that we are Your handiwork. Thank You that we were not saved by good works, but by grace through faith in Jesus. But thank You that we were saved unto good works, and so we pray our lives will be lived to serve You wholeheartedly in the works You have prepared for us to do, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN. Let's remember that today is the day of salvation for many, and that we need to conduct ourselves in a godly manner with all wisdom. Let us make the most of every opportunity we have to share the good news of the gospel of Christ as we seek to walk in wisdom and truth. That we may practice living prudently in all our relations with others. Let's take the time and make the most of our opportunities to share the good news of the gospel of Christ, Who died for our sins and rose again to give us life - so that all who believe in him will become children of God. "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity." Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us we pray to conduct ourselves in your ways , with wisdom and grace in our everyday lives.. and help us to make the most of our opportunities to share the words of Jesus to those who are not yet saved and are in need of your transformation in their lives, their day for Salvation. This we ask in Jesus name, AMEN. There are two world-views today. The first world view is biblical and the other is unbiblical. There is one that is godly and one that is lawless - one that is of God and one that is of Satan. There are only two types of people on earth today... the sinners and the saved... those who reject God's offer of salvation and live in direct opposition to His will and those that have accepted His gift of salvation. There are those that are under God's righteous condemnation and those who are not under condemnation. Praise God that there is no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus - their sins are remembered no more and they are accepted in the Beloved and covered in His perfect righteousness - by faith. "Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness." Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge You as the God of the universe and Lord of our lives. We thank You that in Your grace, You sent the Lord Jesus to pay the price for our sins and declared us righteous in Your sight - by faith in His sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection. There are many, Lord, who are still walking in rebellion against You and are cloaked in sin and lawlessness. We pray that they would open their eyes to the truth in the precious Word of God and be saved by grace through faith in Christ - for which we give You thanks and praise, in Jesus Name, AMEN. There is a world of difference between the unsaved life and the life that we have in Christ. Before salvation, we were children of the night and a product of the darkness of sin. The unsaved soul is trapped in the dungeon of sin, but by faith we can cast off the works of darkness and be clothed in His armor of light. May we walk as children of light and shine the light of the love of God's goodness and grace into the lives of all we meet, knowing that we who were once lost in darkness, and estranged from the light of God's eternal love because of the inner darkness of our fallen nature, have, by His grace been made light in the Lord. "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light." Our United Prayer:
Lord Jesus, how we long to reflect the light of Your love as we journey through this dark world. Thank You for bringing us into the wonderful light of Your saving grace. Please help us to walk in spirit and truth so that we may be used as a channel through whom Your love, grace, healing, and forgiveness, may flow to others. In the name of Jesus we pray, AMEN. |
