The promise that God is our only strength and stay, is no less true today than it was in the days of Joshua. God has promised to be with us in every difficulty we face and every problem that comes our way, just as He was Joshua, when He commanded him… Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. We are to know the truth of God’s Word and to meditate on the promises of God; to trust in the truth of God’s Word and to follow the instructions that have been laid out in Scripture – we are to trust the Lord; believe on His word and stand firm in the faith - so that we too can be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power … for the LORD your God is with us wherever we go - and His grace IS sufficient. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we praise You that You have shown Yourself faithful to Your people, throughout all generations. Help us to be strong in the Lord and to rely on You in all the problems of life that we may face, knowing that You are with us, wherever we go. Thank You Father in Jesus name we pray, AMEN. In consideration of all the many privileges, eternal promises, and gracious position that have been bestowed on ALL who have trusted in Christ, the only possible response for Paul's staggering question is resounding praise and everlasting thanks. "What then shall we say to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us? Who can be our foe, if God is on our side? If God is with us, who can successfully oppose us? No matter what circumstances of life may lie before us and no matter what difficulties may beset our path, we must never forget, that Paul's time-honored question, in this amazing book of Romans, commands only one ecstatic response - NO-ONE, Praise His holy name!! Our Prayer:
Thank You, Lord, for being our Father and forgiving all our sins, not because we deserve it, but because Christ died in our place to pay the price for our sins, all of them. Thank You for all You have done for us, and that our future glorification is as equally complete in Christ as our past justifications, when we first trusted Jesus as Savior. Thank You that because we are in Christ, You are ‘for us.’ Let us never forget that amazing truth. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. We are to be strengthened in the 'inner self,' through the power of the Spirit of God. This is not a one-time strengthening, but a moment by moment reliance upon Him, until we are increasingly able to act upon His guidance, as we learn to listen to His voice saying, "this is the way - walk in it." It is not by our strength or by our own power or wisdom that we can do all things - but through Christ, Who gives us His strength. Like the apostle Paul... without HIM I can do nothing but I can do all things through Christ, "Not by might nor by power - but by My Spirit says the Lord." Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, teach us, Father, to look to Jesus each moment of the day for our strength, and not to rely on our own, imperfect, human abilities and intelligence, for without You we can do nothing. But thanks be to God that as we rest in Christ Jesus, He will empower us through the Holy Spirit, to carry out Your will for our lives. Father, we confess that without You we can do nothing, but thanks be to God that we can do all things through Christ, Who strengthens us, through the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name we Pray, AMEN. We are called to keep our minds on things that are above, and not to be influenced by the things of the earth. We are to live by trusting in Jesus and not by trusting in our own abilities. We are to find our sufficiency in Christ, knowing that in this world we will have tribulation but Christ has overcome the world and we have a priceless inheritance a beautiful inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade away - an inheritance that is kept in heaven , especially for us. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us to keep the eyes of our hearts on Jesus and the glorious eternal inheritance that You have reserved for us and all who have trusted You as our Savior, in Jesus name we pray, AMEN. We are not left to guess at the reason for the intensity and urgency in this earnest plea to guard your heart above all else - for the heart is the source and well-spring of life, the heart is the repository for life - the treasury for truth – the warehouse of wisdom. Christ is our life and our truth, and our wisdom and the Lord searches the heart and tests the mind and we are to guard the gospel truth that has been shed into our hearts - the knowledge of Him Who has brought us out of darkness into His glorious light. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we want to guard our hearts above all things. Search our hearts and know our thoughts and see if there is any wicked way in us and guide us into the path of righteousness, in Jesus name we pray, AMEN This is a powerful statement of fact and a profound promise that keeps our souls eternally secure in the God of our salvation. His never changing character, His all-sufficient wisdom, and His free gift of grace to all who trust in Christ, gives stability to the soul and rest to the heart, making every day Great with him in our lives. The unchangeable God has spoken of His unchangeable Son Who is the SAME - yesterday, today, tomorrow, and throughout the eternity of eternities. His love is unconditional, His grace is everlasting, and His truth endures from one generation to another. Our Prayer:
Thank You, Father, that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Thank You that Your goodness and grace towards us is unchanging and unchangeable. Thank You for the many precious promises contained in the Word of God and for the blessed hope, for which we look and thank you for every precious day we have had and are to have. In Jesus name we Pray, AMEN. Our actions should reflect purity of attitudes and not be carried grudgingly or simply due to necessity or need. There should be no inner murmurings or resentments, but rather our work should flow from an inner being that delights to be of service - and seeks to undertake all that we do enthusiastically and with blessed goodwill, as though we were doing it all for the Lord Jesus Himself. Whatever we do, whether in word or deed, let us undertake to do it with a pure heart and seek to do it as unto the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through Him. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, as we undertake the daily roles and responsibility in our lives we pray that we will undertake it willingly, enthusiastically and to the best of our ability. We pray that in all we say and do we may do it unto You and for Your praise and glory, in Jesus name we pray, AMEN. There are two 'mindsets' or two 'world-views' in today's society and there are also two 'spirits' - the singular Spirit of Truth which is from God and the false spirit of error, lies, deception or deceit. Those who are grounded in the truth will have anchored their teaching on the whole counsel of God's Word and will be equipped to discern false teachings as they test the spirits to see if they are from the Lord.. and nobly study the Scriptures to show themselves approved unto God. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, We pray that we may take this warning seriously and test all the teachings and doctrines we come across.. against the plumb-line of Your Word of Truth. Give us discernment we pray and help us to focus our heart and mind on Christ and abide in Him.. so that we may not be swayed by lying spirits and false teachings.. but may finish the good work that You have started in us - to Your praise and glory.. this we ask in Jesus name, AMEN It is important to examine our own hearts and scrutinize our inner thoughts, through the mirror-like qualities of a still water-pool and to reflect whatever is good. The Word of God is the truthful mirror into which we should look carefully. The Bible is the still water-pool in which to gaze day by day, the face of Christ is the reflection upon which our hearts should rest. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, what wonderful truths are contained within Your Word. We pray that we may learn to keep the eyes of our hearts fixed upon Christ, and to search the Scriptures more faithfully, so that we may learn more of You and increasingly reflect the Lord Jesus in all we say and do. We pray that our lives may be a mirror-image of him, that we may only say the things that He has taught us, and only do those things that honor Him, so that His grace, and love, and care, may be seen in us and flow out to others. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. Many have rejected true wisdom in the Person and work of the Lord Christ and have chosen to live their lives according to their own perceived intelligence, which results in jealousy, envy, ambition, strife and every kind of evil work. May we seek after the wisdom that comes from God, which is a pure wisdom – in thought, word and deed. Let us strive after the wisdom from above, which is first pure, then peaceable, gentle and reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits – unwavering and without hypocrisy. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus is the power of God and the wisdom of God and that in Him we have all we need for purity of heart and cleanliness in thought, word and deed. Prevent us from allowing the influence of this fallen world system to permeate our hearts and minds, and may we keep our focus on the Lord Jesus alone. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN Four of the seven things that God hates are connected with perversity and slander; a lying tongue, a heart that devises wicked plans, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers. How much important truth is revealed in this verse and what devastation can be carried out by, "a perverse person who spreads strife or a slanderer who causes division." May we seek after the good and shun the evil, and live godly lives in Christ Jesus - for the honor of His name. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, there are many that spread strife and cause division through gossip and lies or they lack integrity and demean others. Deliver us, Lord, out of the hand of the wicked and save us from perverse people and those that seek to control the lives of others. We pray that our lips may be filled with gracious speech and healing words and that we develop an empathetic and listening ear. May we acknowledge You in all our ways and develop an understanding heart by Your grace. Thank You in Jesus' name, AMEN. We all need power in our lives, but true strength does not come from relying on our own capabilities but on Christ, Who has promised that His grace is sufficient for all the difficulties and dangers of life we may face. His strength is made perfect in our weakness, when we are weak in our own abilities then we become strong in the Lord and in the power of HIS might. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we praise and thank You for Your indwelling Holy Spirit and thank You that our life is hid with Christ in God. Thank You that You have not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power and love, and of a sound mind. May we not fear rejection or ridicule in this increasingly hostile world - nor fear the likelihood of persecution, pain. and may we fan into flame our faith in Christ so that in HIM we may stand firm. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN. May our work of faith be actively dependent on Him. May our labor of love become a living sacrifice that honors our Father in thought, word, and deed, and may the steadfastness of our HOPE in Christ Jesus our Lord, stimulate others to work the works of faith, to labor in love, and to remain steadfast in the blessed HOPE we have in the Lord Jesus - in the presence of our God and Father. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the blessings we gain from the lives of others whose work of faith, labor of love, and steadfast hope in the Lord Jesus Christ, as an example to us all of godly living that honors You. We pray that we may grow in grace and in a knowledge of Hope in Christ Jesus our Savior and do all for Your greater praise and glory. This we ask and in Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. We are called to willingly, graciously and fervently pray for each other, for as we lift up those who may have wronged us.. to the Lord in prayer, the fellowship of His love will stream into our hearts and minds, removing any nagging bitterness or residue of unforgiveness. We are called to be holy for God is holy, but it is only as we confess our sins to one another and to our Father in heaven, that fellowship is renewed and our prayers become effective. It is only as we abide in Him and walk godly in Christ Jesus that we are enabled to pray in spirit and truth - and the effective prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we desire to maintain sweet fellowship with You and to walk godly in Christ Jesus. Help us to recognize our faults and quickly seek Your forgiveness. Help us also to confess our faults to those we have wronged, and we pray that we may maintain an attitude of prayer.. and learn to pray fervently in spirit and truth, so that in Christ our prayers may be effective and avail much, to Your honor and glory - this we ask in Jesus name we Pray, AMEN The unfathomable depth of God's love is beyond our understanding and that love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has come to permanently indwell our body at the moment of our salvation. Nothing is more precious to the us than resting in the love of Christ and abiding in Him, so that His love becomes the greatest portion of our hearts - not only here on earth but in the eternal ages to come. May the Lord in His grace guide us in all that we say and direct us into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that Your love has no beginning and no end and that there is no reserve in that love for Your children. May You direct the hearts of all Your people into the love of God and the steadfastness of Christ.. so that we may be a reflection of Him in all we say and do - this we ask in Jesus name, AMEN |
