Individually and collectively, the Church is the temple of the living God and each one is a living stone that is being built up into God's own spiritual temple, we are one in Christ and in Him we are being carefully fitted together. Together we are growing, day by day, into His beautiful holy residence. It is in Christ that both groups been formed into one, breaking down the dividing walls of animosity between us and abolishing the enmity which came from the Law. It Is Christ Who Has Established Peace Between Us, and Christ Who has reconciled us together in one Body to God, through the Cross. Christ has given us access by one Spirit to the Father, and only through Christ are we no longer strangers and aliens to our Creator God, but fellow citizens. In Christ we have been made children of God and accepted into His heavenly household. It is the gospel of Christ upon which our faith is founded, and it is Christ Jesus Himself Who is the Foundation Stone upon which His Church is being built. It is through Christ that: "The whole building is being fitted together and growing into a holy temple, in the Lord." In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that we have been brought near by the blood of Christ and have been made one with Him, by means of His death, burial, and Resurrection. Thank You that You have brought together into one Body, all who have trusted Jesus as their Savior, and that we are all being built-up and fitted together as Your holy residence. Help us to walk worthy of our callings, and may You be glorified in all we say and do, until that glorious day when You come to take us to be with Yourself in the clouds of glory. Praise Your holy name, AMEN. As Christians, we are given all we need for righteous living in order to have a right standing with God. We are to walk in spirit and truth and learn from the Lord Jesus that this means that we are to abide in Him and He in us as we journey through life. We Are To Rest In His Love and to trust in His Word, even during those difficult times so that we may live godly in Christ Jesus. As believers, we have already made peace with God through trusting Christ for salvation. In order to have the peace of God permanently dwelling in our heart, we are to live our lives as God desires, which is set out in His Word. Let us never forget that there is no evil that can befall those that are members of Christ's Body. Nothing is beyond God's control. Nothing is able to harm us or separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Let us, therefore, take to heart our instructions on godly lives and holy living so that we may give honor to His name during our fleeting time on earth as we journey towards our eternal, heavenly home. Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that there is nothing in earth or heaven, visible or invisible, that can separate us from Your love for those that are in Christ Jesus. We pray that we may be zealous to live as You have instructed and to earnestly seek after that which is good, to Your praise and glory. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. This passage in Lamentations gives great reassurance that God will one day fulfil the promises He made. It is also an amazing comfort to all His children and especially to the Church, which is the Body of Christ, even when we make wrong choices and discredit the name of our Lord, He will show us compassion. Even when we walk in carnality or drift away from our first love through disinterest or sin, He Remains True To His Word. But we also have the assurance that even if we are walking in holiness, and are called to suffer for righteousness' sake, we KNOW that He will never leave us nor forsake us, He is true to His Word. Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Father, that if and when suffering crosses our path, whether through our disobedience or because we are called upon by You to suffer for Christ's sake, Your mercies are not consumed and Your compassion never fails according to Your abundant and faithful love. Praise You, Lord. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. Despite all the suffering, pain, hurt, and distress that the prophet Jeremiah faced in life's school of affliction, the Lord was teaching him many lessons about the great faithfulness of the Lord and His never-failing mercies, which are new every morning. He learned the importance of trusting the Lord and waiting on His timing, despite the distressing circumstances he faced and the human insults that had for so long been hurled upon him. Christians today are facing some of the worst conditions that evil can inflict on those that proclaim the glorious gospel truth. But the lessons that Jeremiah learned through his school of affliction are ones that we need to learn in the circumstances that we are called upon to face today: that it is good to trust in the Lord and to depend on Him. It is good to remember The Faithfulness Of The Lord, which is new every morning. It is wise not to despise the chastening of the Lord or be weary of His correction, the Lord disciplines the ones He loves and chastises every person whom He receives. It is good, very good: "To wait quietly for deliverance from the Lord." it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the many lessons that You are teaching us through the things we may be called upon to suffer in this life. Help us to learn all the lessons You desire to teach us, knowing that Your mercies are new every morning and that Your love and faithfulness never fail. We pray that we may trust You implicitly in all the difficult circumstances of life that we are called upon to face. Help us to wait quietly for Your sure deliverance. To You be all praise and glory, AMEN. We are told that there are none that are good, only God: "And God Is GOOD To Those That Wait For Him." God is GOOD to the person who searches for Him, He is not far from any of us and He will be found by us if we search for Him with all our hearts. God would never leave us nor forsake us. The Lord will continue to love His people unconditionally. The secret to a victorious life is to submit to the ways and workings of the Lord, to yield to His testing's in life and to surrender to the rod of His chastening. God is GOOD to those that wait for Him, to those that submit to His perfect will, to those that trust in His unfailing Word. God is GOOD to the person who searches for Him, He is not far from any of us and He will be found by us, if we search for Him with all our heart. The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unconditional love, Your goodness, and Your loving-kindness to us and to all that are called by Your name. Great is Your faithfulness, and we praise You, You alone are worthy. Help us to patiently wait for You in humble submission to Your Holy Spirit, by trusting Your Word of grace even when we don't understand. You are good to those who wait for You. Help us to seek You with all our hearts. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. Prayer is a direct line to our God, and how often when we face the onslaught of the enemy and seem submerged in difficulties and dangers, do we cry out to the Lord and earnestly beseech Him to show us the way we should go and tell us the things we should do? God Looks On The Heart, He knows the motive behind each prayer request. He discerns the sincerity of each supplication that reaches His throne of grace. God knows when a heart is trusting Him, but He also knows when an apparently sincere cry for help comes from an insincere and divided heart. We are living in volatile times, but we are instructed to trust the Lord in all things and seek His guidance in spirit and in truth. We are to place our hope in Him completely and trust Him to direct our path and lead us along the road of righteousness. Pray that the LORD your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do.” Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for directing our paths every step of the way, as we follow Your leading and direction. Guide us a straight path today, and direct our going-out and our coming-in. Thank You that we have access to the throne of grace every moment of the day. May our prayers and intercessions for ourselves and others, be offered up in spirit and in truth, in accordance with Your will. May we listen to Your guiding voice in all things and be able to pray with boldness and confidence, In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. The promises of God pepper the pages of scripture like crystal droplets of sparkling rain, sprinkling life into a dry and dusty desert and scattering hope into the hearts of all God's people. The promises of God tumble and glimmer through the Word of God like twinkling stars, peeping through the glowering skies of doubt and sorrow, refreshing the soul, giving hope to the faint-hearted, and providing encouragement to the weary. As Christians, we already know Him as Jesus our Savior. Christ died to bridge the unbridgeable gap between a holy God and the imperfect race of mankind. But we are promised a much deeper knowledge and closer communion with Him, if we will plough into the depths of His Word, reach into the heights of His Truth, and look steadily into the Light of His Countenance the face of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have been promised that When We Seek Him And Search For Him with ALL our heart we will find Him. Let us, therefore, with wholeness of heart, fervency of spirit, sincerity of soul, and diligence of mind, freely abandon the good to search for the very best, knowing that ALL who seek the Lord, will find Him to be rest for their soul, healing for their heart, hope for the future, and life everlasting. Praise God that ALL who seek Him and search for Him have been promised, in His WORD, that He will be everything they need, when they search for Him with their whole heart. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Heavenly Father, that we are Your children. We want to know You more and pray that as we seek You through Your Word and come before Your throne of grace, in prayer and praise, You will show us more of Yourself. Instill in our hearts a desire to seek You more and search for You with our whole heart, and we pray that we will discover a depth of Your perfect character that we have never seen before. Let us reflect You in thoughts, words, and deeds, as Christ is being formed in us. In His name we Pray, AMEN. Neither Jew nor Greek have the ability, credentials, or capability to save themselves, God alone has the capacity to save fallen man. God Alone Has The Power to redeem a race of sinners, and the only vehicle through Whom God offers salvation to Jew and Gentile alike, is by believing the gospel of Christ. There is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. It is through believing on the gospel of Christ (which is the death, burial, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ alone), that we are saved. In Him alone is there salvation to everyone who believes. Throughout the book of Acts, we see this principle: "To the Jew first and also to the Greek," being fulfilled in Paul's ministry. But today, the gospel is to be preached to Jew and Gentile alike, for all have sinned, all fall short of the glory of God, and all need the gospel of Christ: "Which is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ." For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. Our United Prayer:
Father, we pray that, like Paul, we will boldly proclaim the gospel of Christ to all with whom we come in contact with. Only in Him is there life and light, hope and love. We know that the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation, to all who believe on Him Who died and rose from the dead. To Him be all praise and glory, AMEN. What An Amazing Blessing to have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, teaching us, interceding for us, leading us. He has taught us to abide in Christ, to remain in fellowship with Christ, to live as Christ would have us live, in constant union with Him. We should meditate and drink deeply in the Word of Christ, His words bring light to the spirit and life to the soul. We should take His speech and messages of salvation and shower them down in blessed teachings and wise counsel over the heads of those that are His kingdom of priests, His royal nation, a people set apart for the Lord to serve Him and to worship Him in time and through eternity. The blessed Lord rejoices over His children with singing, proclaiming His unconditional love towards us while pouring out His eternal heavenly grace over all that believe in His name. Should we not let His Word dwell in us richly in humble thanksgiving and holy reverence as we blend our voices with heavenly choirs of angels? Should we not sing psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs with eternal gratitude in our hearts to our great and gracious God? Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Our United Prayer:
We will sing to the Lord holy songs, He is good and gracious and has lifted us up and arrayed us in His own righteousness, and His banner over us is love. Loving Father, to You be all praise and glory, our God and our Savior. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. Baptism is a beautiful outward sign of a miraculous inner change effected by the work of the Holy Spirit in the heart of the man or woman who trusts in Christ by grace through faith, baptism was not Paul's primary mission. Paul's main calling was to preach the gospel of grace to a lost and dying world, in season and out of season, to all who had ears to hear. We are not to share the good news of the gospel in the strength of our fleshly self, or by implementing a man-made program or some sort of promotion strategies. Like Paul, we are not called to witness to the good news of Christ in the power of our own fleshly self, to do so would cause Christ's sacrifice to be rendered null and void, losing its meaning and depriving it of its power. May we Seek To Be Spirit-Filled Witnesses and walk godly in Christ Jesus, as led by the Holy Spirit of power and to the glory of God. May we be ready to tell of the good news of the gospel of grace in spirit and truth, but not in cleverness of speech so that the Cross of Christ will not be made void. For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we pray that we may be used by You to teach the truth of Jesus Christ, our crucified and resurrected Savior, to all that You put in our pathways. Keep us from promoting ourselves in prideful manners, but we pray that we may be used as instruments to shed abroad the glorious news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. To His praise and glory, AMEN. Gifts of the Spirit should not be abused for self-satisfaction, nor should they be used to indulge in ungodly, emotional experiences. The gifts of the Spirit are given to help equip other believers in their spiritual service, to edify the Body of Christ, and to help to perfect each member of the Church for the particular ministry to which God has called them. The ultimate goal is to Bring All Believers Into The Unity Of Faith and a knowledge of the Son of God so that the Body of Christ becomes spiritually mature as we are being conformed into a measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. The Christian life is not about 'me, myself and I', but is all about the Lord Jesus Christ and God's purpose and plan in bringing many to glory through Him, by means of His sacrificial work at Calvary. Although much of the Church has fallen into gross abandonment, let us seek to use our own spiritual gifts to develop unity in the faith, to increase in a knowledge of the Son of God, and to bring all believers into spiritual maturity. May the Word of God remain the only foundation upon which our faith is built, to His greater praise and glory. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we are aware that there are many in the Church that are abusing the precious gifts of the Spirit and distorting the Word of truth. Help us to study to show ourselves approved unto God and work the works of God in our lives for the edification of the Body of Christ and for the greater glory of the Lord Jesus Himself. To Him be all honor and glory forever and ever, AMEN. In this short Psalm Of Reverent Worship, mighty men of the earth are duty-bound to give honor and praise to the great God of the universe. To Him alone is ascribed glory, He is the One that sets men up in their place to carry out His eternal plans. He is the One that removes men from their thrones, He is the Almighty God. His sovereignty is over all the earth and He is the One that: "Rules over the kingdom of men," no-one could draw another breath without his sovereign permission. His glory is exhibited throughout the heavens. The Lord brought the earth, and all created things, into being by the Word of His mouth, and the majestic display of a thunderstorm with its flashes of lightning and great reverberating thunderclaps. Should we not ascribe to the Lord glory and strength, and give to the Lord the honor due to his name? Should we not honor the Lord in thought, word, and deed, and adore Him in spirit and in truth? Should we not worship the Lord in the beauty of His perfect holiness, knowing that He alone is worthy of our worship and praise? Should not we who are His children, made in His image, and born of the Spirit, humble our hearts before Him and bow our ear to listen to the whisper of His still voice, as He speaks to us His Words of comfort and guidance? The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD thunders over the mighty waters. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, there are so many examples of Your great glory and majesty, and yet You are interested in us, Your children. Help us to attune our ears to hear Your voice, as we learn to live humbly and walk wisely before You in spirit and truth. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. This entire psalm is a great song of praise and worship that declares the goodness and mercy of God to all people. He is faithful and true, and His grace extends to each nation of the world forever and ever. Let us all Shout Joyfully To The Lord And Serve Him with gladness. Let us come before Him with joyful singing and know that the Lord Himself is God Almighty Who has made us, and not we ourselves. Praise God that by grace through faith we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Let us enter into His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Let us give thanks to Him and bless His name, the Lord is good, His lovingkindness is everlasting, and His faithfulness endures throughout all generations. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the Word of Life which is in Christ Jesus. Thank You that You are our Creator and God, our Saviour and Redeemer. You alone are worthy of all praise and thanksgiving, and we bless and glorify Your holy name. Thank You that You are a faithful God Who keeps His promises and fulfils His Word and thank You that Your loving-kindness endures forever. Praise Your holy name, AMEN. We are all God's children and as we grow in grace and in an understanding of His Word of truth, our hearts should be thankful for His goodness and grace. As we mature in the faith and progress in our spiritual walk, we should reflect on the enormous sacrifice that the Lord Jesus Christ made for us on the Cross. As believers who have been saved by grace through faith in Christ, we are encouraged to develop an attitude of grateful praise and ceaseless thanksgiving to our Father in heaven, for a man's spiritual maturity is reflected in a heart of thanksgiving and praise for all that the Lord has done for us. God knows that thanksgiving and praise are no bedfellows to unforgiveness or fear. He knows that gratitude and rejoicing is no companion of dissatisfaction or murmuring, and so we are encouraged to give thanks in everything, even those difficult, daily circumstances, knowing that His grace is sufficient for those that are in Christ Jesus. As His children, we have benefits and glories beyond our understanding. Let us glorify God by giving thanks in everything, this is the will of God, for all who are in Christ Jesus. in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, may we grow in grace and in an attitude of thanksgiving for all that you have done for us, in Christ Jesus. Lord, we desire that Your will be done in our lives. We know that it is Your will that we should give thanks in all things, and so we pray that You would develop and refine this exquisite grace of thanksgiving in us. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. Prayer is the means to maintain unbroken fellowship with our Heavenly Father, and unless we develop persistence in prayer and devote ourselves to praying, we are in danger of becoming lazy, disinterested, and compromised in our faith. Devotion to prayer is to ensure that every piece of our spiritual armor has been prayerfully strapped on. Prayer is not sitting for a few minutes with hands folded, and eyes shut tight. Prayer is the tool we have been given to prepare us for the work God has called us to do and to ensure that we are well-prepared when faced with a crisis. Prayer is not meant to be saved for a rainy day or only used in an emergency. Prayer Is Our Lifeline To The Lord and we should develop an attitude of ceaseless prayer. Prayer is warmed by worship, petitions are perfected by praise, promises are claimed through a grateful heart, and intercessions are offered in the solemn acknowledgement that we have an audience with the King of kings and Lord of lords. Prayer should not be the quick after-thought of a busy believer, but an attitude that permeates one's whole life. Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we bless You for Your grace and mercy to us. Thank You that we have the right to lay at Your feet our own needs and those of others. Increase our understanding of the great privilege of prayer that has been granted to us and all Your children, and we pray that we increasingly devote our lives to You in prayer, praise, and grateful thanks. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. |
