Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. God is Love and the love of God is broader than the span of our greatest imaginations, and the fondness of our Father towards us goes beyond our wildest dreams. Our United Prayer:
Thank You Father for Your gift of salvation by grace alone – simply because we believe in Your Son. Thank You for the hope that is set before us and thank You for the Love of the Lord Jesus, which was demonstrated to us on a wooden cross, years ago. May His Love flood our hearts and pour through us into the lives of others, that they may know Your Love, have faith in Your finished work and receive that blessed hope in their hearts, that only comes from You, in Jesus name we pray, AMEN. As we change or continue our focus onto the Lord, our faith in Him is excited within our hearts and we are encouraged to trust in the Lord and do good – to feed on His faithfulness so that we may become strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. We are to believe His promises and hold fast to the Word of truth. When the will of man is aligned with the will of God, as it was intended in the beginning, then the things that delight our Heavenly Father will naturally become the joy of our own hearts. When we delight ourselves in the Lord and take pleasure in the things that are uppermost on God’s own heart, we will discover that they become the joy of our hearts. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, forgive us for the times when we have delighted ourselves in wrong things. Keep us from fretting over evildoers in this increasingly confusing world, and help us to keep the eyes of our hearts on Jesus and to delight ourselves in the things of God. Align our thoughts to Your thoughts, we pray, and our will to the will of God. May the desires of our hearts unite with Your perfect will and eternal purposes, for Your everlasting praise and glory. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. God is the source of all love, and herein is love: "Not that we loved Him but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atonement for our sins." And we who have become part of His family by faith, are obligated to love as Christ loved us and to give our lives in sacrificial service for the benefit of others and to the glory of God. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that You loved the world so much that You gave Your unique and incomparable Son as the substitute for our sins and for the sins of the world. We pray that we may walk in spirit and truth and show forth Your love in our lives for the benefit of others. We pray that we may decrease and that You may increase in every area of our lives, until we become a transparent conduit through whom Your love flows to others, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. Let us seek to have this beautiful characteristic of godly love evidenced in our lives, as we willingly and obediently submit to the work of the Spirit within our hearts - until a Christ-like love is manifest in our life. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we pray that in the power of the Holy Spirit that we may learn through obedience.. to develop the exquisite characteristic of Christ-like love in our lives - so that You would be glorified, and others would be drawn to You.. through Your love reflected in us - in Jesus name we pray, AMEN God has a unique and unfathomable love for all mankind which was demonstrated toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, dead in our sin and at enmity with God, Christ died for us. Jesus paid the price for our sin so that His unconditional love and unswerving justice could be demonstrated through Him. Our Prayer:
God of wisdom and love, we are not worthy to gather the crumbs under Your table and yet in mercy and love You picked us up out of the miry clay and dressed us in the robe of Christ’s righteousness, for His name's sake. We praise You for the unconditional love You pour out on us in unhindered measure, because Your eternal character is measureless love. Thank You, Father, for Your everlasting love for us and thank You that in loving-kindness You drew us to Yourself and made us Your children. In Christ’s name we pray, AMEN. When difficulties arise in our lives and we are troubled on every side with hardships and trials – seek to adopt the attitude of David in His many psalms of praise and thanksgiving – who reflected on God’s past goodness; rejoiced in His future promises and blessed the Lord for all the benefits that He bestows on us day by day – for the Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in loving-kindness. Our Prayer:
Bless the Lord o our souls and all that is within us, bless Your holy name, for you have pardoned and healed us, forgiven and redeemed us, crowned us with loving-kindness and great compassion - for all that we have and are and ever hope to be, rest only on the merit of the Lord Jesus, Who gave His life for us, that we might live our lives in Him, in Whose name we pray, AMEN. As we look away from ourselves, our problems and our own limited perspectives.. and call to mind the greater reality of His loving-mercies, deep-compassion and long-suffering, do we recognize the steadfast love of the Lord which never ceases. Only as we turn our eyes away from our own disappointments and look to His wider purpose and plan, do we discover that His mercies never come to an end, for they are new every morning -how great is His faithfulness. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, how we praise and thank You that you are a gracious, loving and long-suffering God. Help us not to be influenced by the circumstances of our lives but rather help us to keep the eyes of our hearts on You, knowing that Your plans and purposes are perfect. Thank You Father for Your steadfast love towards all Your children - which is new every morning. we ask this in Your name, AMEN. |
