Whether we live or whether we die, we are to do everything as unto the Lord. The whole purpose of Christ's death and Resurrection was so that He could fulfil His role as Lord (both Lord of the dead and Lord of the living) in the lives of all who trust in His holy name. One of the main reasons that Christ died a cruel death on Calvary's Cross and rose again on the third day was so that He could give life to all who believe in His name. He would become the Lord of our 'new-life-in-Christ' that promises eternal life and life more abundantly. Throughout our lives, we should be His willing servants and devoted disciples. We should seek to do everything as unto the Lord, it was to this end that Christ died and lived again that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living. Whatever we do in word and deed, action and attitude, mind and motive, may we do all unto the Lord. Whether we live or whether we die, let us do ALL to His praise and glory, for ever and ever. For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. Our United Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for coming to earth to live a perfect life and to die a cruel death so that we might be saved by grace through faith in You. We pray that whether we live or whether we die we may do everything as unto You. To Your praise and glory, AMEN. The birth of Christianity is a well-documented historical fact that is grounded in Holy Scripture. Its members believe in the historical Cross of Christ, and have placed their faith in the sacrifice that He made on that Cross, which saves people from their sins. There were literal blood stains on the wooden Cross upon which our Savior hung. There was a literal tomb where the body was placed, and there was an empty grave where Christ once laid. But now He is risen, ascended, and glorified, and He has the power to save to the uttermost all who come to Him in faith. Resurrection means to rise from the dead, never again to die. Death has no more dominion over Christ, and He is the firstborn from the dead, paving the way for the bodily resurrection and everlasting life for all who believe in Him by grace through faith. It Is His Sacrificial Death And Resurrection In Which We Place Our FAITH, and those who have trusted Christ as Savior, have been given the Holy Spirit as God's guarantee. Let us have this confidence in Christ today, His resurrection identified Jesus of Nazareth as the Son of God. It gives power to our Christian life in this world and guarantees our future inheritance with Christ in heaven, to Whom be all praise and glory, through time and into eternity. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for seeing past the evil of death and bringing about Christ’s Resurrection. Thank You that we no longer need to fear death and hell, as death itself has been swallowed up in Christ's victory. Thank You that we have been placed in Christ. Show us more of Him, we pray, and may we participate in the fellowship of His sufferings and the power of His Resurrection. May Christ shine through our lives as we go out into the world and tell of the wonders of His grace. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. Neither Jew nor Greek have the ability, credentials, or capability to save themselves, God Alone Has The Capacity To Save The Fallen. God alone has the power to redeem a race of sinners, and the only vehicle through Whom God Offers Salvation to Jew and Gentile alike, is by believing the gospel of Christ. There is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. It is through believing on the gospel of Christ (which is the death, burial, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ alone), that we are saved. In Him alone is there salvation to everyone who believes, the Jew first and also to the Greek. Throughout the book of Acts, we see this principle of "to the Jew first and also to the Greek," being fulfilled in Paul's ministry. But today, the gospel is to be preached to Jew and Gentile alike, for all have sinned, all fall short of the glory of God, and all need the gospel of Christ "which is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ." I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek. Our United Prayer:
Father, we pray that, like Paul, we will boldly proclaim the gospel of Christ to all with whom we come in contact. Only in Him is there life and light, hope and love. We know that the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation, to all who believe on Him Who died and rose from the dead. To Him be all praise and glory, in Jesus Name We Pray, AMEN. One of the main messages that Paul was keen to get over to these unbelieving Gentiles in Athens, was that God, the Maker of heaven and earth, has fixed a day when He is going to judge the world in righteousness and that judgement, they were informed, would take place through a Man, Whom God Himself had appointed, a Man Who had been raised from the dead, and His Resurrection would serve as the as proof of His authenticity and authority to take on this judicial role as judge of all. How important to Preach The Word Of Truth and tell all who are dead in their trespasses and sins that God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.. 'He who believes in Him is not judged; but he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. All who reject Christ's sacrificial death and God's offer of salvation, that final day of judgement is fast approaching, God has fixed a day in which the crucified and resurrected Jesus will judge the world in righteousness. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.” Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that our sins were judged at the Cross and that there is now no condemnation for us because we are in Christ. But we realize that there are many that remain dead in their sins. We pray that You will use us to tell those that You place in our paths, that Christ died for their sins, that He was buried, and rose again, so that all who believe on Him will not perish, but have everlasting life. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. It is only as Man could Jesus be identified with the human race and offer His perfect life for the sins of the world. The Wonderful Proof that God the Father accepted the sacrifice of Christ the Son on our behalf, was His Resurrection. It is this death and Resurrection that constitutes the gospel for which the apostle Paul was set apart by both the Father and the Son, and which was promised before times in the holy Scriptures. The Resurrection of Christ, the pivotal point in history, is a fact that we can confidently trust in and rest our faith upon. Let us read, mark, learn, and meditate upon this truth, and raise holy hands in worship of our wonderful Savior. and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Lord, for Your grace toward us who were dead in trespasses and sins, but who have now been brought near by the death and Resurrection of Christ. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. Nothing in the life of a Christian happens without a purpose and every event that takes place, whether good or bad, is used by God for our spiritual growth and eternal benefit. During our time on earth, we are called to mature in faith and to grow in grace. God takes all the circumstances of life as an opportunity to develop our trust in Him so that we may discover a little more of His gracious character, His omnipotent power, His wisdom, His unfailing righteousness, His unapproachable holiness, and His Unconditional LOVE. Martha demonstrated her deep trust in God's Word, she had an assurance that her brother would be resurrected in the end times. She had come to believe that Jesus was the promised Messiah Who would save His people from their sins, but she had not yet recognized that she was addressing the incarnate Son of God Who created all things, and Who is before all things. She was yet to discover that Jesus is incarnate God; the One Who holds all things together by His almighty power; the One in Whom is life everlasting. Let us never forget that however small our faith may be, God is working in us every day to strengthen our trust in Him so that we may grow in grace and learn to depend on Him, no matter what circumstances we may have to face. His Word stands fast today, and His Word stands fast forever. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for these earth shattering words, spoken to the grieving sister of Lazarus. Thank You that Jesus used these words to develop Martha's faith and to deepen her dependence upon Him. Help us never to forget that however small our faith may be, God is working in us every day to strengthen our trust in Him so that we may grow in grace and learn to depend on Him, no matter what circumstances we may have to face. Thank You that our lives are hid with Christ in God. Enlarge our faith in Your Word of truth and increase our understanding of Who You truly are, (Whom to know is life eternal), not only in the future but here and now. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. Christ died in our place so that by believing on Him we might be reborn into the glorious family of God. He identified with our sin and became sin for us so that we might be forgiven, redeemed, born again, and returned into fellowship with the Father. Jesus shed His blood on the Cross for our transgressions and rose again the third day so that we might be born from above, born anew, born of the Spirit of God, positioned in Christ, clothed in His perfect righteousness, and accepted in the Beloved for His name's sake. He died so that we might be born into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, secure, and unfading - a birthright that is kept in heaven for all who have trusted in Christ. The hope we have from the Lord is not only a living hope for today, but a lasting hope into the ages to come, An Everlasting Hope that can never fail, it is imperishable, undefiled, secure, enduring, unfading, and inextinguishable, and it is kept for us in heaven, by God's amazing grace. and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that by Your grace through faith in Christ, we have become partakers of His divine nature. Thank You that when we first believed, we were positioned in Christ in heavenly places, having escaped the corruption of the world and being covered with His righteousness. Thank You for the Word of truth and the many precious promises it contains for us and all believers. May Your will for our lives may be carried out to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. |
