PRAYING TOGETHER AS A FAMILY
God in His grace has revealed to us that He has prepared amazing and wonderful things for those that love and trust Him. Indeed the Lord Jesus Himself said that He was going to prepare a place for us in His Father's house.. but we do not know all the wonderful things are being prepared for us, and the Bible reminds us that we cannot even imagine what they could be.. for God in His wisdom has said that eye has not seen, ear has not heard and the imagination of man is too limited to understand what God has prepared for those that love him Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, In Your goodness and grace You chose to reveal Yourself and the wonderful message of redemption in Your Word and the amazing scriptures which reveal the end from the beginning. We pray that we would earnestly study to show ourselves approved unto God.. but keep us from strong desires after a knowledge of things which You have chosen to keep hidden from our sight. Thank You that our blessed hope is in Christ and the wonders of our eternal future are hidden in Him - In Jesus Name we Pray, AMEN. God hearing our prayers; he is used to hearing his people, and we have experience of it, and we may be assured that whatsoever we ask according to his will, and in the name of Christ, he will hear; and such an assurance is a reason for engaging in a constant calling upon God. Being hidden in the steadfast love of our heavenly Father is a beautiful thing. To be hidden and sheltered and provided for and covered by His love gives us security and peace and contentment. Our Prayer:
“We call on you, our God, for you will answer us; turn your ear to us and hear our prayers. Show us the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes. Keep us as the apple of your eye; hide us in the shadow of your wings.” In Jesus name we Pray, Amen Be emotionally moved by, and sincerely interested in, the feelings of others. Show each other kindness, with a desire for the good of the other person. Be humble in spirit or have a "humble mind." We should be ready to set ourselves aside. We should make others the focus of our attention. Lift up one another, to disappear in our efforts to support each other. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we confess that we have let our own over-sensitive selves be wounded and have reacted with pettiness when others have not treated us as we felt we deserved. We know Jesus was treated so rudely and shamefully by those he created and so we shouldn't be surprised when things don't always go well for us. But Father, please help us to know when to challenge those who wound us with a loving confrontation and when to just ignore the barb and find a way to minister to them because of some deeper wound has crippled them in their life. Father, let us be an instrument of your peace, harmony, grace, and unity. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. In all our dealings there should be a godly spirit of unity and love. There should be a patient, kind, gracious love, that comes only from the indwelling Spirit of Christ Jesus, Who is our life - for in Him our soul is refreshed and we are equipped to edify others, which glorifies our Father in heaven. We can only imagine if we had unity in our country today, let's Pray to our Lord to pave our way. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, We pray that we may learn to live together with all our brothers and sisters in Christ in godly love and unity, and to Your praise and glory. Protect us from wanton discord, disunity or division and help all Your children to stand firm in the faith, once offered to the saints through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has caused us to be united together in Him - We ask this in your name, AMEN. Rather than fear, God has given us a spirit or attitude of "power and love and self-control." This is very significant for all of us in our every day life. We do not have to be afraid, we find comfort thru our faith in him that keeps our human emotions in check to avoid conflict and to love one another as he wants us to Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we pray to ask for even a portion of your wisdom. When we normally react with fear and distress, we ask you to replace that with power, love, and a sound mind. Give us a clear mind and help us make wise decisions. Help us to react in a way that honors you, not a way that makes people doubt your power and authority. In Jesus name e=We Pray, Amen. The fruit of the Spirit is essentially the character of Jesus. The quality of gentleness is the opposite of harshness with others. It is power over one's Spirit that exudes a meek and mild person like Jesus. Showing care and respect for others in the way that you act and speak. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please be ever near us as we seek to be your person of character in the middle of the chaos and conflict around us. We ask that your presence be made known and that our character reflects that presence in all that we do and say today, each day that follows. In Jesus' name we Pray. Amen. Get-rich-quick schemes, cutting corners to get more for the self, and taking unfair advantage of another's ignorance will in the end destroy the perpetrator. Those who do these things to get rich are in reality seeking death because they are breaking the spirit of the eighth commandment. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your grace and strength that has sustained us to this day. Forgive the times when we missed the mark in being faithful. Lord, help us to be faithful and abide in Your promises at all times. Help us not to become weary in being faithful. We stand by faith to see Your blessings manifest in our lives. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. Do not grow tired of doing good, through the power of God's Spirit. It will pay off when the "crops" come, he has assured us. The most obvious crop is our own eternal life in Christ. Perhaps this also has other positive results in mind, including the eternal lives of others who will come to Christ. And, perhaps he has in mind the rewards given by God to those Christians who serve well in this life. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness, Your generosity, toward us. Thank You that You do not withhold any good thing from those who love You. It is us who stand in the way of Your mercy. For what mercy we have toward others, You extend toward us. You forgive us as we forgive others. You give to us as we give to others. The channel of love and blessings opens wider and wider as we are perfected in Your love, which means as we learn to love others. In Jesus name we Pray.. Amen When righteousness and kindness is our pursuit, we are saying that it is our desire to have our lives measured by what is right or wrong according to God's Word and not our opinion or anyone else. There is more kindness needed in our world today, how are our children going to look at us years from now? How is the Lord looking at us today? What are we in pursuit of in life? Is it righteousness, and kindness? This is the will of God for us. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we want to pursue a closer walk with you. Turn our ways to the righteous, and help us to be a beacon of kindness to those around us. Be with us as we strive to be of service to others, make a difference in others lives so they may see us and glorify you. In Jesus name we Pray, Amen. Self-control is a valuable attribute. The ability to consider one's words and actions, rather than lashing out without thinking, makes an enormous impact on one's life. Few people want to associate with a hot-tempered person, for fear of getting "burned." Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we pray that we may take note of the godly and gracious way to speak to others and apply it in our lives. Help us to be careful when responding to the words of others so that we do not promote anger. Help us to turn away any bitterness or wrath with a soft and gentle answer. May our speech be a tree of life to others and prevent us from ever crushing the heart or soul of another, through careless speech. We pray that our lips spread wisdom and knowledge, and keep us from foolish reactions or from spouting folly in some unguarded moment. May our speech and language reflect the gracious words of the Lord, and may we only say and do those things that honour Your name. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. |
