Speculation about the identity and origin of Jesus Christ was as widespread among the people of the first century as it is within today's modern generation. Imaginations overflowed with ideas and postulations of where He was from, who He could be, why He had come, and what they should do about Him. There were some equally preposterous suggestions in those days as to who they thought that Jesus of Nazareth the Son of Man was, as there are in this day and age. The people of the first century were equally aware of the claims of Jesus Christ of Nazareth as are today's modern generation. They were equally aware of His claims to be God incarnate - the Word made flesh - the Son of the Father - the second Person of the eternal Trinity, but like the people of today, they preferred to speculate on the false assumptions that flooded their depraved imaginations. "But you," Jesus asked His disciples, "Who Do You Say I Am?" And the eternal destiny of His disciples, along with the eternal destiny of every individual who ever walked this earth, rests on the response to that question. Matthew 16:15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Our United Prayer:
Gracious Lord and Heavenly King, how can we ever thank You enough for setting aside the glory that You had with the Father from before the creation of the world. You chose to come to earth and become our sin-substitute so that whoever believes in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved and have eternal life. We believe that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God, Who died for our sins and rose again so that we may live. Praise Your holy name, AMEN.

We, as Christians, need to be searching the Scriptures daily to see if the things we are being taught in our churches and assemblies are True To Scripture, or if there is a distortion of Biblical Truth or a watering down of God's Word of grace. God has set clear biblical standards for the normal Christian life, as outlined in the Church epistles and which are founded on the teachings of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself being the foundation stone. The single and unique standard by which we are to test all things is the Word of God. Let us read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest God's Word, and study to show ourselves approved, rightly dividing the Word of truth. Let us remember that the Word of God is alive and powerful and sharper than a razor-sharpened two-edged sword, which is able to pierce between the soul and the spirit. God's Word exposes the innermost thoughts of our hearts and can judge our very motives and secret desires. May we make it a priority to test all things, to hold fast that which is good, and may we do so in godly love and in humble submission to the Holy Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.  Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, instill in us desires to know You more and to study Your Word diligently and prayerfully so that we may be approved unto God. Help us to examine all things carefully and to hold fast to all that is good, genuine, and true, as outlined in Your Word of grace. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.  What does this mean in the bible? Today, there are many that are unable to work due to their health or other reasons but there are many that are able but are unwilling. The Bible is very clear about those that are unwilling.
