To be constant in prayer is to recognize that prayer, is one of the chief weapons of the spiritual warfare in which all Christians are engaged. As followers of God we should all be instant in prayer – constantly lifting our hearts and voice to the Lord in prayers of thanks and praise and intercession and requests – and laying them before the throne of God’s Grace, in the name of JESUS - knowing that greater is He that is in us that He that is in the world. Let us exercise godly living so that we too may live a life that is pleasing to the Lord – so that Christ can be seen in all of us. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the Word of God and the godly instructions that are laid out for us - In hope, may we rejoice – in tribulation, may we endure and in prayer may we persevere, as we press on to the goal of our calling, in Jesus name we pray, AMEN. The virtuous woman or righteous man is the one that is prepared to die to self and live for Christ, knowing that it is God who works in them, to will and to do His good pleasure. The virtuous woman or righteous man is clothed in strength and excellence, dignity and honor - knowing that His grace is sufficient, and that His strength is made perfect in our weakness. May we be so immersed in Christ Jesus our Lord that we are thus enabled to glory in the God of our salvation and to rejoice in the bright hope for the future. Our Prayer:
Loving Father, our hearts rejoice in You, for You are the One that has forgiven our sins and clothed us in the righteousness of the Lord Jesus as a free gift of grace. As we look for that Blessed Hope to come, may we draw ever closer to the Lord Jesus today, so that His virtue and strength, goodness, grace, and love, are increasingly reflected through us to others, and may we ever sing praises to Your honor and glory. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN. Today there is an increasing disconnect between children and their parents, and Scripture indicates that one of the main reasons is that God has been eliminated from the family... and a worldly mindset of selfishness and disrespect has replaced a biblical perspective. How important it is for parents and grandparents, children, and church fellowships, to refuse to be impacted by worldly standards and to reinstate godly principles and biblical teaching in their home, so that the children of today will not become the parents of tomorrow who exasperate their children and cause their children to lose heart. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, what a lot there is to assimilate and implement in Paul's simple instruction, for father's not to exasperate their children so they will not lose heart. Forgive us for the way we have allowed biblical principles and godly practice to be gradually removed from our homes and Christian churches. Help us individually and corporately to return to the truth of Your Word, so that children will understand the need to obey and respect their parents... as parents bring up their children in the fear and nurture of the Lord through wise discipline, gracious encouragement, and godly respect of others. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. How does the love of God abide in us? How does the love of God abide in a person who has plenty and sees his brother or sister in need, but closes their heart against them? The answer to this question is clear and unmistakable - He or she cannot! This selfish and uncaring attitude in a Christian does not invalidate their salvation as some like to teach, but it does show they are carnal and out of fellowship with the Father - for the love of God is not being reflected in their life. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word of truth and the many things we can learn from questioning our own actions, attitudes, moods, and motives. Thank You for this passage in first John that has caused us to reflect on the way that we treat our brothers and sisters in Christ, and may we grow more like Jesus, day by day. Thank You for all Your goodness in providing all we need for life and godliness, but keep us from holding on too tightly to our possessions. Help us to be wise and prudent in the way we use our resources and generous towards others when we see a need. Search our inner thoughts, we pray, and if there is anything in us that causes you pain, we pray that You would bring it to our attention and help us grow in wisdom and love. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. Every child is a miracle from above, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Children are indeed a heritage and gift from the Lord. May we who have been entrusted by the Lord to be parents, recognize the awesome responsibility, with which we have been entrusted. Help us to faithfully train our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord – and nurture them on the living Word of truth, for God’s greater praise and glory. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of children – and the joy that comes from children. May we recognize the responsibility and importance of training up children in the ways of the Lord. We ask Your divine protection over our precious children and pray that both mothers and fathers unite in their godly upbringing and training. Look down in pity on children who do not have the opportunities of a Christian upbringing and draw them into a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ – this we ask in His holy name, AMEN. Let us all shout joyfully to the Lord and serve Him with gladness. Let us come before Him with joyful singing and know that the Lord Himself is God almighty Who has made us, and not we ourselves. Praise God that by grace through faith we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Let us enter into His gates with Thanksgiving and His courts with praise and let us give Thanks to Him and bless His name… for the Lord is good; His loving kindness is everlasting, and His faithfulness endures throughout all generations. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the Word of Life which is in Christ Jesus. Thank You that You are our Creator and God, our Savior and Redeemer. You alone are worthy of all praise and Thanksgiving and we bless and glorify Your holy name. Thank You that You are a faithful God Who keeps His promises and fulfills His word and thank You that Your loving-kindness endures forever –we praise Your holy name, AMEN. The peace of God can too often be hindered when a heart is devoid of thanksgiving and praise. A grateful heart that is filled with heavenly thanks and praise to God, is a heart that is ready and prepared to have the peace of Christ stream into their inner being and flow out to others - as a testimony of praise to our heavenly Father. May we with one accord let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts day by day and moment by moment.. for it is to this that the body in Christ has been called - and let us in all things be thankful. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we pray that the peace of God may rule in our hearts with thanksgiving and praise, and if there is anything in our lives that is preventing Your peace from guarding our hearts today, we pray that You would show us. May we honor You in all we say and do and we pray that we may grow more like the Lord Jesus in our dealings with our brothers and sisters in Christ, so that Your peace may guard our hearts and the peace of Christ may flow through us to others - This we ask in Jesus name, AMEN. This Psalm explodes into a song of thanksgiving to God, because His mercy and love endures forever. But it is a Psalm which verse by verse continues to build up to a crescendo of grateful thanks, as it lists the many things that God has done for His people. God’s steadfast love toward us - is the same faithful love, yesterday, today and forever. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You and praise Your name for You are a good and faithful God – and Your steadfast love endures forever –we praise Your holy name, in Jesus name we pray, AMEN. God's knows that thanksgiving and praise are no bedfellows to unforgiveness or fear. He knows that gratitude and rejoicing is no companion of dissatisfaction or murmuring, and so we are encouraged to give thanks in everything - even those difficult, daily circumstances, knowing that His grace is sufficient for those that are in Christ Jesus. As His children we have benefits and glories beyond our understanding. Let us glorify God by giving thanks in everything - for this is the will of God. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, may we grow in grace and in an attitude of thanksgiving for all that you have done for us, in Christ Jesus. Lord, we desire that Your will be done in our lives - and as it is Your will that we should give thanks in all things, We pray that You would develop and refine this exquisite grace of thanksgiving in us. This we ask in Jesus name, AMEN. Love cannot be taught or acquired through study - nor can it be worked up in our emotions or rooted in any romantic feelings. Godly love flows into our very being from the God of love Himself - and that same love of Christ is poured out from us into the lives of others.. for His honor and glory. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that You loved the world so much that You sent Your Son to be the propitiation for our sins. We pray that in all things we too may put on godly love... and become a conduit of Your love flowing out to others in the bond of unity and peace - to Your honor and glory.. in Jesus name we pray, AMEN. It is to God that our prayers and petitions are made and through our Savior that our prayers are presented, because we have been saved by grace through faith in Him. May we maintain a heart of grateful thanksgiving and praise for all His goodness and grace to us, and may we be anxious about nothing, but in everything through our grateful prayers and humble requests known to Him... and we will discover His peace that passes understanding, guarding our heart and mind, as we abide in Christ and He is us. Our Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You that You know all things and that You know everything about us. Thank You that You hold today in Your hand and our future is secure in You. Thank You that we can cast all my cares upon You - for You care for us. Keep us from anxious thoughts and help us to train our mind on Jesus for we want to depend on You in all things, not only today but in the days that lie ahead. This we pray in Jesus' name, AMEN. It is as we submit to His perfect will for our life, that we discover His will becomes the dear desire of our heart. It is as we walk in step with His perfect will, that we discover that we can run and not be weary - walk and not faint. The confidence we have in Him, is that He will never leave us, nor forsake us. He will never abandon us nor let us down, and this translates into a confidence that we can achieve impossible tasks, when HE is in control. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of being used in the world as witnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to do the work that You have already prepared for us to do. Root out all that is of us, and replace it with the sweet nature of the Lord Jesus, as we carry out the work that You have prepared for us to do, In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. May the grace and favor of God continue to rest upon us, and may the beauty of the Lord Jesus be seen in us and through us - as we submit to the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit in our life, to His praise and glory. Our Prayer:
Teach us to number our days and grant us a heart of wisdom and understanding so that we may become mature in the faith, grow in grace and come to a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ, in Whose name we pray, AMEN. Make no mistake – to love in deed and in truth is not something that we can do for ourselves, however hard we try! We cannot love in deed and in truth through a training program, mental exertion or fleshly effort. To love in deed and in truth is a supernatural love, that comes directly from God Himself, and can only be manifested in the life of a born-again believer – who is walking in spirit and truth. Loving in spirit, in word, in deed and in truth is evidenced in the life of one who has died to the self-life, abides in Christ and is able to say it is not I that live my life, but Christ, Whose life is in me and living through me. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that we re Your children, and that Christ died to pay the price for our sins. Thank You that He rose again so that we have been made a new creation in Christ – and received our new life in Him. May the love of the Lord Jesus so flood and fill our beings, that it not only flows out to others in thought and words, but in spirit, in truth – and in our every action and attitude. This we ask in Jesus name AMEN. Those that have placed their trust in the Lord Jesus for salvation are to grow and to develop in their Christian life and there is only one place that provides the divine revelation about growing in the Christian life – and that is the Word of God. Faith is the key that opens our understanding to the Christian life. We are to be SAVED by faith; to STAND by faith; to WALK by faith; to RUN by faith; to FIGHT the good fight of faith by faith; to PRAY by faith; to LIVE by faith. Indeed, we are to do ALL that we do by faith in Christ – and the only instruction manual on how to stand by faith; walk by faith; run by faith; fight the good fight of faith by faith; pray by faith and live by faith – is to be found in the only divine revelation, given to man from God – the Bible. Our Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that we are saved by grace through trusting in Jesus. Thank You that all we need to live a Christian life by faith is to be found in the Word of God – we pray that we will honor You by living every part of our Christian life trusting in the Lord Jesus – for without Him we can do nothing - but we can do all things through faith in Christ, Who gives us the strength we need, in Jesus Name We Pray, AMEN |
