Solomon's prayer demonstrates God's willingness to listen to the private prayers of individuals, as well as the collective intercessions of the people of God. And Solomon's prayer indicates the importance of being specific, as we make our requests to the Lord, and of praying into His perfect will and purpose - in spirit and in truth. May we take time to demonstrate in our own prayer-life, a like-minded trust in the goodness and faithfulness of our God and Father - for we have a great assurance that He hears and answers the prayers of His children, when they come from a heart that is in fellowship with Him. then hear from heaven your dwelling place and forgive and render to each whose heart you know, according to all his ways, for you, you only, know the hearts of the children of mankind, Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that You are a God Who hears and answers the prayers of Your children, when they pray in faith, and trust in Your never-failing faithfulness. Thank You that You are a faithful and righteous God, Who renders to each one of us according to our individual ways. Keep our hearts pure towards You, for You alone can read the thoughts of the heart, and the imagination of the mind. May the words of our mouths, the thoughts of our hearts, the meditation of our minds, and the motives behind our thinking, be always acceptable to You. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN.

Give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice! Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, how we rejoice in You, for You are good and Your grace and mercy endure forever. We give thanks to You and glory in Your holy name, for Your glory reaches to the heavens. Lord, our hearts are filled with great gladness and joy when we rejoice over You. Thank You for sending Jesus to pay the price for our sins. Thank You that He is with us every moment of the day, and thank You that He is coming again with great glory and majesty. We worship and praise Your holy name for all Your goodness to all your children. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. Sometimes we find ourselves passing through life not quite understanding why certain things are taking place in our lives, but, if we are prepared to listen to His still small voice and follow His gentle commands, we will all one day gaze in awe and wonder at the whole, magnificent tapestry of life... of which we are one small part. Remember, He takes our personal situation, and from it selects the method and means to get our attention, in order to teach us a deeper truth about Himself. He wants to draw us into a more intimate fellowship with our heavenly Father. Let us keep our ears open to the gentle softness of His still, small voice, for He continues to speak into the lives of all who have ears to hear. And after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we are humbled to realize that You have included us and our lives, as part of Your plan for humanity. We realize more and more that we must decrease in every area of our lives and entrust all circumstances into Your gracious hands... so that You may increase, and we may decrease. Use us, Lord, as You will, in Your wider plans and purposes, and develop in us understanding hearts and listening ears to hear all You have to say to us. Teach us the lessons that You would have us to learn and keep us looking to Jesus. This we ask in His precious name, AMEN. The promise that the Lord made to David is wonderful, and will be fulfilled at Christ's return to earth to set up His kingdom - but the many precious promises that He has given to you and to me are no less wonderful. Let us never take our salvation for granted, and let us never treat as insignificant our eternal position in Christ, our future inheritance, the forgiveness of sins, and everlasting life - for what God has said He will fulfil - not because of who we are but for the honor of His holy name and to the glory of Jesus Christ - our God and Savior. And now, O Lord GOD, you are God, and your words are true, and you have promised this good thing to your servant. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, the promise you gave to David, that there would always be a Man to sit on his throne, is indeed wonderful. But the most wonderful and glorious truth is this; You loved us so much that you sent Jesus to pay for the price of our sins and that by His Resurrection, He broke the power of sin in our lives and caused us to be called a son of God and a joint-heir with Christ. Lord, for this we will continue to be eternally grateful. May all we say and do be to the honor of Your name, for You alone are worthy. Thank You, Father. In Jesus' name, AMEN. May we learn to pray in spirit and truth and to trust the Lord with our whole heart, knowing that He is a God Who hears and answers prayer. May we seek to align our prayers with His will for our life and not regard prayer as a technique to twist God to do what we want. Rather, may we be ready and willing to trust Him in all things and to hand over the hopes and desires of our heart into His gracious will, and be ready to leave them with Him. She was deeply distressed and prayed to the LORD and wept bitterly. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the lessons we can learn from the bible – so that our trust in You can be ignited and our faith in God could be strengthened. Teach us to pray often and help us to hand over every circumstance in life to You, knowing that Your way is best, and Your will is perfect. Increase our faith, we pray, and should we ever become careless in our prayer-life, bring us to that point of desperation, for You alone have the words of life. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. NEVER FORGET - JESUS is our coming Bridegroom, but unlike Ruth, OUR story is not yet over. Our story continues to be written. Our Lord has yet to come to take us to heaven, to be with Himself. He is making preparations to claim us as His Bride and is busily preparing rooms for us. Let us sit still, and patiently watch and wait for His imminent return, knowing that the Man, Christ Jesus, rests neither day nor night as He makes intercessions for us. She replied, “Wait, my daughter, until you learn how the matter turns out, for the man will not rest but will settle the matter today.” Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Father, for Your Word. Thank You for Jesus, the living Word, and the Bible, Your written Word. Thank You for the Scriptures that point to the Man Christ Jesus, our precious Redeemer, risen Savior. May we learn the many lessons that Your Word teaches and may we grow in grace and fall more in love with the Lord Jesus day by day. In His name we pray, AMEN. The name of the Lord is too wonderful to be confined to one word, one name, one characteristic, or one description. The name of the Lord encompasses all the wonderful, eternal, glorious, infinite, and amazing aspects of our Creator God Who loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son to be the substitute for the sin of the whole world, and to die in our place. He did this so that we could be forgiven of our sins and be showered with all the wonderful and eternal gifts that God in His grace has bestowed on all who believe on the name of Jesus. “Why do you ask my name?” the angel of the LORD replied. “It is too wonderful for you to understand.” Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are beautiful beyond all description and too glorious for words. Thank You that You are our God and our Savior. May we live our lives to Your praise and glory and rejoice with grateful thanks for all Your works, especially for Christ's wonderful work on the Cross on our behalf. We are so thankful that by grace through faith in Him, we are clothed in His wonderful righteousness. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. We are to immerse ourselves in the Word of God, to meditate on the promises of God, to trust in the truth of God's Word, to follow the demands of God that have been given to us - in the knowledge that Christ is with us and His strength is made perfect in our weakness. The promise that the all-powerful God is our only strength and stay is no less true today than it was in the days of Joshua. God has promised to be with us in every difficulty we face and every problem that comes our way, just as He was Joshua when He commanded him, Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we praise You that You have shown Yourself faithful to Your people, throughout all generations. Help us to be strong in the Lord, like Joshua. Help us to rely on You in all the problems of life that we may face, knowing that You are with us wherever we go. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. It is humanly impossible to love the Lord in the way He commands and to love others with that same godly love. No one can love God every moment of the day and in every circumstance of life. As members of humanity, we are bound by our fallen nature, to fall short of His perfection. To love the Lord our God with a Christ-like love, is only possible as His love is continuously poured into our heart. The more we imbibe Him, the deeper our love for Him will become. Indeed, as we witness the faithfulness of God in the difficult struggles of life and experience His tender mercies in the painful circumstances through which we must inevitably pass, our love for God can only deepen and strengthen - as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, what amazing grace You have shown to us and the entire human race, that Your love for us is so great that You would send Your only begotten Son to die for our sins. No matter what it takes, we pray that we may learn to love You with all our hearts, and souls, and minds, and strength - and with every fiber of our being, knowing that it is only as we die to self and live for Christ, that Your love may be manifested in us. Thank You, in Jesus' name, AMEN. What more wonderful benediction could be offered over any of us than the blessed invocation in this beautiful verse in Numbers chapter 6. And yet, by God’s grace, we have been called to be a kingdom of priests under the authority of Christ our great High Priest through whom blessings from God are being poured out to us and through us to others. May the Lord bless us all and keep us, and may He cause His face to shine upon us and be gracious unto us and give us His peace. May we who have been so blessed by God to be His children, be used by Him as channels of His blessing through Whom the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit is poured out in great measure to others, this day and forevermore, AMEN. May the LORD bless you and protect you. Our United Prayer:
Bless the Lord, our souls, and we pray, Father, that You use us as channels of Your blessing to others today and every day. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. The Burnt Offering was a voluntary act of devotion and dedication to the Lord. It was offered by an individual person or group of people... and the significance of the fire which was to be kept burning continually, was a beautiful picture of continual, voluntary devotion to God. It portrayed a broken and contrite heart of loving trust that was dedicated to the Lord by the person, or group of people, who gave the offering. May we follow in the steps of our Savior and by the mercies of God, present our bodies and our very lives as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God - for this is our reasonable service of thanksgiving and praise to the One Who gave Himself for us. May our lives be our own, personal Burnt Offering to our Father in heaven. May our lives be our own voluntary sacrifice to the Lord - Who loved the Church so much that He gave Himself for HER. The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us such an amazing understanding of Who You are and what You desire from Your children. Thank You that Jesus was both the Sin Offering Who paid the price for our sins, but also the Burnt Offering Who willingly gave His life to fulfil Your plans and purposes for the redemption of the world. We pray that we may willingly present our bodies in continual devotion and dedication to You, by giving up ourselves to Your service. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. When we discover ourselves to be surrounded by a whole host of menacing problems, let us not register unbelief in our hearts. Rather, let us trust in the faithful Word of God, for the Lord will fight for us, while we need to rest in His love and trust His Word, for He Who had promised will do it, in His way and to His glory. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still. Our United Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your many precious promises. Forgive us for the times when we take our eyes off You and slip into unbelief. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on Christ and the truth of Your Word. Help us to rest in You and trust all the issues of our lives into Your hands, allowing You to work in Your way and to Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. The world was spoken into being by the WORD of the Almighty - the eternally wise God, Who is to be praised forever, amen. The earth was spoken into being by the wisdom of the Almighty Creator through the eternal WORD of God. The first four words of the Bible states its origin, "in the beginning GOD..." It was the beginning of everything... time, matter, space, and universal laws. It was the start of the principles that govern life. And despite man's desire to exclude God from His creation, it is a statement of fact that the eternal, almighty God, created the heavens and the earth by the might of His power. Oh, the mystery of His spoken WORD, the power of His written WORD, the wonder of His living WORD - our Lord Jesus Christ. He truly is an amazing God. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, as we see Your great wisdom reflected in Your wonderful creation, we want to praise You with our whole being. Thank you for the creative Word-of-God, WHO not only spoke the worlds into being from nothing but died for us, so that we could live – so that we could have life - everlasting life and life more abundantly. Open the eyes of those who refuse to recognize the truth and acknowledge Jesus as their Creator God and Savior, and thank You for all Your never-failing goodness and amazing grace towards us. This we pray in Jesus' name, AMEN. The word, 'prosperity' today nearly always refers to material wealth… but in context, we see that it is this dear man's physical health and bodily condition that John is praying will prosper. John's prayer is that Gaius' physical health will reflect his obvious spiritual strength and Christian maturity. This verse clearly contradicts the distorted teaching of certain 'prosperity teachers' and 'faith-healers' who insist that if sick people do not recover, it is due to a lack of faith, or that if you are materially poor, you are not a spiritual believer because God wants all Christians to be materially wealthy! Such teaching is false and biblically incorrect. The world 'soul' and 'life' are used interchangeably in the Word of God, and we discover that this man's spiritual life was fruitful – his soul was flourishing. He was working the works of God in his life through the power of the Holy Spirit. Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the exemplary life of Gaius and this precious blessing written to Him. Thank You that You call us beloved and for all the blessings You pour into our lives. We pray that our souls would prosper with the riches of knowing You. We pray that, day by day, we would come to a deeper knowledge of the Lord Jesus as He increases in our lives. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. How bound up and interlinked in this test of love is our love for God, our willing obedience to do His will, and a genuine love for our brothers and sisters in Christ - for love of the brethren and keeping His commandments encapsulates the test of our love towards God. If we are to keep the new commandment He gave to us all, we will love God's children with the same depth of love that Christ Himself loved us. Only when the old self life remains nailed to the Cross and the new life in Christ feeds on Him in our hearts, by faith with thanksgiving and praise, can that love of Christ be manifested towards others: By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, what amazing love You have for Your children. Help us to love You more and more so that we may walk in genuine trust and willing obedience to all You have commanded in Your Word. Help us to love others in the same way that You have loved us and gave Yourself for us. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. |
