May we who have received the over-abounding mercy and grace of God in our lives, demonstrate a Christ-like character in our daily living - through purity of heart, the pursuit of peace, the compassion of Christ, the mercy of God, and a life that is walking in spirit and truth... even during these increasingly difficult days of suffering and intense challenges we face in todays world. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that Your eyes are over those that are cleansed by the blood of the Lamb and that Your ears are ever open to our prayers. Have mercy on those who have not accepted Your gracious offer of salvation, and use us as witnesses to Your goodness and grace. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. The universe we are told is expanding and the bible indicates that the earth is in the center of God’s universe – but by the grace of God, through faith in the Lord Jesus, every single - sin, past, present and future, has already been removed as far as the east is from the west, for so far does He remove our transgressions from us. Our United Prayer:
Loving Father How we praise Your wonderful name for You have forgiven all our sins and redeemed our lives – You have satisfied us with good things and demonstrated Your grace and compassion by removing our sins so far away, forever. You have not dealt with us how we deserve but for the sake of Christ Jesus have raised us up into heavenly places in Him – in Whose name we pay, AMEN. It was sin and rebellion that caused the judgement of water, but it was mercy and grace that caused the Lord to set His bow in the clouds as a covenant between God and the earth – that He would never again destroy the world with water – and God’s Word can never be broken. Let us praise our covenant keeping God for all His loving-kindness and tender mercies to us and let us live by faith in the Son of God, who loves us and gave Himself for us by taking upon Himself the judgement that we deserve, so that His multi-colored-grace can shine in our hearts throughout all eternity. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your many precious promises – and Lord, when the storm-clouds of life are thundering in on all sides, help us to trust Your Word and remember the precious promises You have made to all Your children - for Your Word cannot be broken in Jesus name we pray, AMEN. How does the love of God abide in him? How does the love of God abide in a person who has plenty and sees another person in need, but closes their heart against them? The answer to this question is clear and unmistakable - He cannot! This selfish and uncaring attitude toward another human does not invalidate their salvation as some like to teach, but it does show they are looking out for themselves and out of fellowship with the Father - for the love of God is not being reflected in their life. Godly living inevitably comes back to abiding in Christ, walking in spirit and truth, dying to self, and allowing Christ to live in us and through us. This can never be carried out in our own strength, and a believer will expose his sinful ways through a lack of love and concern for others in need. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word of truth and the many things we can learn from questioning our own actions, attitudes, moods, and motives. Thank You for this passage in first John that has caused us to reflect on the way that we treat other people, and may we grow more like Jesus, day by day. Thank You for all Your goodness in providing all we need for life and godliness, but keep us from holding on too tightly to our possessions. Help us to be wise and prudent in the way we use our resources and generous towards others when we see a need. Search our inner thoughts, we pray, and if there is anything in us that causes you pain, we pray that You would bring it to our attention and help us grow in wisdom and love. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. Prayer is warmed by worship, petitions are perfected by praise, promises are claimed through a grateful heart, and intercessions are offered in the solemn acknowledgement that we have an audience with the King of kings and Lord of lords. Prayer should not be the quick after-thought of a busy believer, but an attitude that permeates one's whole life. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your grace and mercy to us. Thank You that we have the right to lay at Your feet our own needs and those of others. Help us to increase our understanding of the great privilege of prayer that has been granted to us and all Your children. We pray that we increasingly devote our lives to You in prayer, praise, and grateful thanks. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. We are not to worry about anything, but instead, we are to pray about everything, to tell God what we need, and to thank Him for all He has done. We are to live and walk and pray in spirit and truth and then the peace of God, which surpasses our human understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus our Lord. Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, we pray that day by day we may grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus who is the Prince of Peace we know. That We will find and keep His perfect peace in our hearts – for ever and ever. In Jesus name we Pray, AMEN. In God my Savior - God is called "Savior," as he saves people from sin and death. He was "Mary's" Savior, as he had redeemed her soul and gave her a title to eternal life; and she rejoiced for that, and especially for his mercy in honoring her by her being made the mother of the Messiah. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, what a thrilling feeling, how we rejoice in You the Lord Jesus Christ, our God, our wonderful Savior, and Your eternal Son. Thank You for Your gracious plan of redemption and for Christ's birth. How our souls are also thrilled and praising You for all You have done in our lives - for the forgiveness of sin and the redemption of our souls through the blood of our Savior. Praise Your holy name, AMEN. What a glorious privilege it is to have our hope in God. May we be motivated to enlarge our perspective of our glorious God of Hope and fix our hope on Him Who has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, in Christ Jesus our Lord. May we continue to trust in His unbreakable Word and live our lives in a manner that honors His holy name. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, our hearts rejoice as we realize the depth of love You have for us. You truly are our glorious God of Hope, and we thank You that this is not the doubtful 'hope' of the world, but a definite hope that is securely founded on Your unchangeable Word. Enable us to share this truth with those with whom we come in contact with, to Your praise and glory. In Christ's name we Pray, AMEN. How important to examine our own heart and scrutinize our inner thoughts, through the mirror-like qualities of a still water-pool and to reflect whatever is good, and pure, and wholesome, and holy. The Word of God is the truthful mirror into which we should look carefully. The Bible is the still water-pool in which to gaze day by day - for the face of Christ is the reflection upon which our hearts should rest. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, what wonderful truths are contained within Your Word. We pray that we may learn to keep the eyes of our hearts fixed upon Christ, and to daily search the Scriptures more faithfully, so that we may learn more of You and increasingly reflect the Lord Jesus in all we say and do. We pray that our lives may be a mirror-image of Him, that we may only say the things that He has taught us, and only do those things that honor Him, so that His grace, and love, and care, and beauty, may be seen in us and flow out to others. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. Jesus is that LIGHT that has been shining from eternity past, and it is only through Him that God's light, life, love, hope, joy, and peace will flow, for God has decreed that Christ is all in all. May we bathe in the glorious light of His love for the eternal ages to come, and may we reflect His light in this darkened world and permit His love to flow through us to others. Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Father, that the Light of Jesus has shone into our hearts, for we trust Him alone as our Savior and Lord. May the light of Your love shine through us to others, for Your praise and glory, until it is not we that shines in our lives, but the light of Christ shining through us. This we ask in Jesus' precious name, AMEN. Often when difficulties happen or when problems rise up in life we need to turn our hearts to the comforting words of Scripture. We need to grab a promise and hold on to that promise knowing that we have a wonderful and faithful God, Who has promised to be with us in all the twists and turns of life. He has committed to be our sufficiency in all situations. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Our United Prayer:
Loving Father – thank You for Your promise to bind up our brokenness and heal our wounds. May we walk humbly before You, trusting your many precious promises knowing that You are able to carry us through any and every situation that life may throw at us, in Jesus name we pray, AMEN. By Faith in Christ, we have overcome the ungodly world system that is saturated in sin and seeks to entrap us all in its many temptations and enticements. And God has given us all we need to not only overcome the world - but also to overcome the flesh and the devil. Let us live and work to His praise and glory - for He alone deserves all honor and glory, for He alone is worthy. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus and His sacrificial work on the Cross. Thank You that He has already overcome the world and that by faith in Him, we are too overcomers. Thank You that we have been born of the Spirit and have been clothed in His righteousness, and thank You that we are accepted in Christ. May we submit our lives to You entirely and live each day in spirit and truth, to Your praise and glory. This we ask in Jesus' name. AMEN. Let us ensure that the thoughts of our hearts are fixed on the Lord Jesus moment by moment as we take every thought captive to Him, for God has promised to keep in perfect peace all who trust in Him and fasten the eyes of their hearts upon Him. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father we pray that the thoughts of our hearts and the meditation of our minds be centered on You moment by moment, so that the righteousness and peace of Christ will touch our lives and the lives of others as we walk in spirit and truth… in Jesus Name we Pray, AMEN. When our love for Him becomes the single, central longing of our hearts then it matters not which way we choose to take, for we will find that He is there leading, directing and communing with us - in love. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father it is the desire of our hearts to acknowledge You in every way, because we love You. Thank You that You are with us to lead and direct in all life's decisions and to plant our feet on the straight pathway. We pray that not only in the difficult times but in every situation of life, we would acknowledge You. In ALL circumstances and at all times, we pray that we will keep the eyes of our hearts fixed firmly on Jesus, In Jesus Name we Pray, AMEN. We know in Whom we believe and are persuaded that He is able to keep us and all that we have committed to Him. No matter what we may be called upon to suffer in this life, we KNOW that God is faithful and will not suffer us to be tempted above that which we are able to bear, but will make a way of escape so that we may be able to bear it. God is indeed faithful to His Word which cannot be broken. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, there are times when it seems that we are alone as we face life's difficulties, mourn over the spiritual decline that is overtaking the world today, and grieve to see the shocking evil that is saturating this world. Thank You, Lord, that we are not alone, but are a remnant of believers who desire to do Your will. Thank You that Your mercies are new every morning and that You are building us up to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. |
