God will never leave you nor forsake you. The Lord will continue to love His people unconditionally. The secret to a victorious life is to submit to the ways and workings of the Lord, to yield to His testing's in life and to surrender to the rod of His chastening so that we are able to say, "When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold." This is no less true for the Church today as it was for Israel in those distant, distressing days. God is GOOD to those that wait for Him, to those that submit to His perfect will, to those that trust in His unfailing Word. God is GOOD to the person who searches for Him, for He is not far from any of us and He will be found by us - if we search for Him with all our heart. The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. Our United Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unconditional love, Your goodness, and Your loving-kindness to us and to all that are called by Your name. Great is Your faithfulness, and we praise You for You alone are worthy. Help us to patiently wait for You in humble submission to Your Holy Spirit, by trusting Your Word of grace even when we don’t understand, for You are good to those who wait for You. Help us to seek You with all our hearts. In Jesus' name, AMEN. God is never late, but is always there at the right time, the best time, the needed time. His appointed time. And so, it was at the right time that Christ died. Some wonder why there was such a long time between the fall of Adam and the sacrifice of Christ, but in God's economy, it was the right time for you and me, and the right time for humanity as a whole. How can we doubt His love, He died for us when we were undesirable, unlovely, and unlovable? But because of His great love, He came as our representative to be a pattern for our learning, living His life in the power of the Spirit, to demonstrate how we too should live. Let us all be comforted in our own lives when we desire His workings, and it seems that He has delayed or is long overdue. In God's economy, He will act at the right time, the best time. For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, praise Your holy name, for when we are weak and in the pit of despair, You sent Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, at the right time, to be our strength and our lives. In His name, we thank You and praise You, AMEN. In so much of the Word of God we discover the little word 'BUT'. This tiny conjunction joins two thoughts together through stark contrast. Often we read of the foolishness, fretfulness, disobedience, and rebellion of sinful man, but then in contrast we read of the faithfulness, graciousness, and long-suffering of the Lord. As we seek to grow in grace and live godly in Christ Jesus, let us choose to adopt an attitude in stark contrast with the foolish, fretful, disobedient, and rebellious ways of the world, and discover the unfathomable value of that little word 'BUT'. BUT as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. BUT as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD. But as for me I will wait for the God of my salvation and My God will hear me. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we choose to serve You in spirit and truth and to watch and wait expectantly for You. Help us to make the right choices in our lives, and thank You that even when we prove faithless, You are faithful and true. Praise Your holy name! AMEN. Some do not believe the Lord will ever return because of the centuries that have rolled by without His return, yet Peter dismantles their unfounded reasoning, for time in God's economy is very different from man's perception of time. God is eternal and man is finite, and his life-span is but a breath in comparison with God Who was and is and ever shall be. Despite the truth of God's Word and the many declarations of God's great glory and power that pour forth praise to Him from the heavens above and the mountains beneath, mankind is willfully ignorant, deliberately choosing to dethrone God from their lives and enthrone king self, thus severing their lifeline to their only means of escape. Let us redeem the time we have left and use our days wisely, as we wait for the glorious day when we will see Him face to face. But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Our United Prayer:
Loving Lord, how wonderful You are. Thank You that You created time, but You are not constrained by it. Thank You that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Give us patience as we expectantly wait for Your any day return to rapture Your Bride, knowing that Your timing is always perfect. And may we rest in You, knowing our time is in Your hands. In Jesus' name, AMEN. This verse is a simple, yet timely reminder, that we are to live by faith in the Word of Truth, and to trust God's judgement in all things. He sends blessings on the just and unjust alike, and He takes the foolish schemes and rebellious actions of all and turns them to His greater glory, in order to fulfill His ultimate plan and purpose, which is that Christ is all in all. For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Father, that You know the end from the beginning and that everything under heaven is within Your authority. Thank You, that You are in control of all that is happening in our own lives and the wider world in general. May we trust You through all the circumstances of life and as we seek Your face in prayer and praise, may we learn more and more to pray, "Thy will be done in our lives and throughout the world." In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. It is God ALONE Who looks on the thoughts and intents of the heart. God alone knows if our faith is genuine. God alone knows if we truly believe in our heart that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day, according to the Scripture. And when a person believes on the Lord Jesus Christ in their heart for the forgiveness of their sins - God knows and He saves. And it is God ALONE to Whom we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord. Confessing with my mouth to another person can never cause us to be saved - even if we use the right words, for no person can save another person - only God can save. Only God can forgive sins. And when a sinner confesses with their mouth to God that he believes in the Person and Work of Christ and that 'Jesus is Lord', God is faithful and just to hear our confession and forgive us our sins - for God hears and He saves ALL who believe. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, there is much that we do not understand about the Word of God and much that we need to be taught, but we pray that the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth. Keep us from being swayed away from the truth of the gospel into a distorted gospel by those that show religious zeal, religious ignorance, religious intolerance, or religious arrogance. Help us to study to show ourselves approved unto God and give us the wisdom and the humility to seek You when we do not understand. Open our eyes, we pray, so that we may see wonderful things in Your written Word. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. As a member of the human race, the Savior was the first BORN baby of the virgin Mary: "A Child is born," for He shall save His people from their sins. "A Son is given," for God so loved the world that he GAVE the beloved Son of His love, Jesus Christ, to be our Redeemer. Every name and every attribute that is ascribed to this unique Person has the seal of eternity etched into its very fabric. No one else but God can qualify to be called 'Wonderful' we read in the Bible that His name is Wonderful. And God alone is the perfect Counsellor, for in Christ dwelt all the wisdom of God. And the Spirit of the LORD rested upon Him; the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and reverence for the Lord. Christ Jesus is indeed our "Wonderful Counsellor." For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Our United Prayer:
Loving Lord, no matter how many times we read of the wonder of Your incarnation as the Word made flesh, it fills us with wonder and praise. Let us praise God for the true meaning of this day, Christmas Day, your the reason for this holy day, let us share your love with family and others and those in need. Lord, we worship You in the beauty of holiness, and we bow down before Your throne of grace in wonderment, for holy is Your name. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. In wonder and amazement, Mary humbly asked how this could be, knowing that she had not been intimate with any man. Her question was not one of doubt or unbelief, but one that was filled with awe and amazement at the mighty wisdom of God, one that recognized the amazing grace that had been extended to her that a humble maid such as she should be chosen to receive this high, heavenly honor. And then followed the glorious announcement from this angelic messenger: "The Holy Spirit will come upon you," she was told, "and the power of the Most High God will overshadow you," and for that reason, the holy Child that she was to bear "would be called the Son of God." In His humanity, Jesus was to be the Child born of Mary. In His deity, Christ was to be the Son of the Highest. For unto us the child that was formed in the womb of Mary was to be BORN into the human race, but also unto us to the Son of the most high God was GIVEN: "For God so loved the world that he GAVE His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life." The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[a] the Son of God. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that You take the simple things of life and servants that are humble in spirit, to be lifted up and used by You to Your praise and glory. We pray that we would walk humbly before You all the days of our lives and that You would use us in whatever way You choose, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. Mary was highly privileged and her explosion of joy reflected a developing understanding of the wonderful truth with which she had been entrusted. Her song revealed the amazing responsibility of being chosen by the God of her forefathers, to bring forth our Lord Jesus - Whom she humbly acknowledged as GOD, my Savior. Her own precious baby was to be the One who would die for her sins. He would bring forgiveness and salvation to his young mother and to all sinners who trust in His redeeming blood. Like all who believe, Mary's human spirit was made alive the moment she believed God's Word - that she would bring forth a Son that would save His people. No wonder her spirit delighted in the God of her salvation. 46 And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord 47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, what a thrilling meeting it must have been for Elisabeth and Mary as they glorified Your name for all that You had done in their lives and for the wonderful promise of salvation. How our spirits also rejoice in You and in the Lord Jesus Christ, our God, our Savior, and Your eternal Son. Thank You for Your gracious plan of redemption and for Christ's birth to this humble Jewish maiden. How our souls also thrill and praise You for all You have done in our lives - for the forgiveness of sin and the redemption of our souls through the shed blood of God our Savior. Praise Your holy name, AMEN. Suffering is the segment of life that should cause us to engage in much prayer and earnest entreaties, while Christ's gracious provision should elicit much rejoicing and cheerfulness of heart Throughout the Word of God, we are encouraged to call on the name of the Lord in time of trouble. In every circumstance of life it should be a duty and delight the Lord in prayer - especially in times of trouble, for He is a God Whose ears are open to the cries of His children, and Who is our ever present help in times of need. Indeed, no matter what changing moods and interchanging moments we face in life, we are wise when we lift up cheerful hearts of joyful thanksgiving to the Lord... through continuous prayer and trusting praise. Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the encouragement and truth that is contained in this short but important verse. May we seek You in all life's needs and necessities through prayer and intercession, and may we rejoice in Your never-failing faithfulness and unchanging goodness and grace. Keep us mindful of the Cross and rejoicing in our hearts for all that You are to us... and to all who have trusted in You for their salvation. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. It was out of love that God sent His only begotten Son so that all who trust in Him for their redemption are saved by grace through faith... Transferred from being a member of the kingdom of Satan through physical birth into Adam's fallen race.. into becoming a member of Christ' Body.. children of God through and a citizen of heaven - through spiritual birth into Christ - by faith . that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for our Savior - the Lord Jesus, Whom came to earth on our account and was lifted up on Calvary's cross so that by faith in Him we have life eternal. We pray that many today would come to the saving faith in our precious Savior, in Whose name we pray, Amen. God has given us the greatest revelation of Himself in the person of His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the eternal Son of God and He is the perfect Son of Man Who is the Light of the world and Life eternal for all who trust in Him: "In Him was life and His life was the light of all." He is the very light that shines in the darkness, and the darkness is not able to overcome it. God is Light and in Him there is no darkness at all. This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Father, that the light of Jesus has shone into our hearts, for we have trusted Him alone as our Savior and Lord. May the light of Your love shine through us, until it is not we that shines in our lives, but the light of Christ shining through us. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. Salvation is not a work of the flesh, nor is it given because of human merit, lest any person should boast. Salvation is not gained by keeping any Law or engaging in any religious ritual. Salvation is the amazing gift of God’s grace, and does not have anything to do with us. All that is required of you and me is to believe – "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." Those of us who believe this by faith are justified, saved, redeemed, declared righteous, positioned in Christ, clothed in His righteousness, and have been given a whole host of other eternal benefits, simply by believing on the finished work of Christ at Calvary, He died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried and rose again according to the Scriptures. For by grace you have been saved through Faith; and that not of your own doing, it is the gift of God; Our United Prayer:
Thank You dear Father, for Your free gift of salvation. we are not worthy to receive such a gift, but we thank You in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior in Whom we trust. It is in His name we pray, AMEN. We are all given spiritual gifts to fulfil a special function within the body of Christ. Each of us receives at least one spiritual gift and we are called to be good stewards of all we receive from the Lord. Our gifts differ according to the grace God gives to each of us, and we are instructed to exercise them in accordance with the proportion of faith we have received. The inflow of our spiritual giftings from God should result in a beneficial outflow of His grace to others. Gifts are not for our own selfish gratification but for the edification of the body of Christ. The grace that pours into our lives should become a channel of God's blessing, which in turn is willingly poured out in service to others... for His greater glory and praise. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit and for the spiritual gifts that we have been given by Your goodness and grace. We pray that we may be diligent to use the gifts and graces that have been given to us for the benefit of the body of Christ and for Your greater praise and glory - this we ask in Jesus name, AMEN. A virgin would conceive and give birth to their Savior Who would be called Immanuel, God with us. The immortal, eternal God was to be born into the world as a tiny baby and He would save His people from their sins. And through Him, all the families of the earth would be blessed. The Word of the Lord is sure and every prophetic pronouncement in the Scriptures has or will reach its ultimate fulfilment in Christ, for God's Word is sure, His faithfulness is everlasting, His truth endures from one generation to the next, and His promises are 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You alone are wise and good. Thank You for the truths that are contained in Your holy Word and that by Your grace You told us the end from the beginning. Thank You that You sent Your Son to be born of a virgin and become the full and final atonement for our sins. Thank You that Jesus walked the earth as a Man and understands all the limitations of our humanity. We are so thankful that He fully understands our weaknesses, having been tempted in all things, yet without sin. Thank You for our precious Savior Who helps us in our trials and temptations and Who is coming back one day to finalize His authority over sin, the world, and the devil. To Him be all the glory, world without end, AMEN. |
