PRAYING TOGETHER AS A FAMILY
In the early chapters of the book of Acts, we discover that despite Christ's call to "go and make disciples of all nations," the exclusivity of the glad tidings of great joy which were for all people. There is much that we can learn from these inspired words of Scripture and much that we can apply in our own lives , during this Church dispensation. How We Praise Our Heavenly Father for Calvary; that our sins are forgiven, that there is no more condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus, that we have been placed in union with Christ, and accepted forever. How important to know the Scriptures that are written for our learning, and to read, mark, learn, inwardly digest, and apply their godly instructions during this age of grace, and to rightly divide the Word of truth so that we may grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. How important to trust the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father Whose promises will one day be finally and forever fulfilled and His promises toward His Church will never fail, for are all 'Yes' and 'Amen' in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word of truth. Help us to read it with understanding and to learn all the lessons that You would teach us. We pray that we may live godly lives to Your praise and glory, as we look forward to the day when we will finally receive Your promised times of refreshing, and we will all worship together at Your feet. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. Those who believe, have assurance and confidence, that Every Promise Of God Will Be Fulfilled, including the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. It is for that reason we should live in the light of this confident hope. Our trust in God's Word should be steadfast, and our faith in Christ should be immovable, no matter what trials and tribulations we may be called upon to face. We are encouraged to be fruitful in our earthly toil and to fulfil the good work that God has given us to do, during our time on earth. Let us never doubt God's Word, but rejoice to follow Paul's exhortation, to fulfil our calling enthusiastically, and to remain occupied at all times in the Lord's work, knowing that our toil is not fruitless in the Lord. The day is fast approaching when we will be clothed in our resurrected bodies. When we see Him we shall be like Him. Praise God that we DO have a sure hope and an eternal inheritance that was laid up for us in heaven, from the moment that we placed our trust in Christ. No wonder Paul calls each one of us to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our toil is not in vain in Him. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, what a glorious future You have purposed and planned for all who trust in Christ, as our God and Savior. May we never doubt Your Word, but enable us to be steadfast in our daily walk, and strong in our Christian faith. Help us to be productive during our time on earth and enable us to carry out Your work and Your will, knowing that our toil is not fruitless in Christ. Thank You for the truth of the Resurrection and the knowledge that these mortal bodies will put on immortality, at Your appointed time. Help us to remain occupied in the work that You have prepared for us to do, to Your praise and glory. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. The blessings of the faithful in Hebrews 11 are to enjoy, are still future, their blessings are to flow to them through the Person of JESUS, His Office and His Ministry, His death on the Cross, His resurrected life, and His victory over Satan, sin, death, and hell. God cannot lie. His Word will never fail. His faithfulness lasts from one generation to another and His promises are all 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ Jesus our Lord, both for this cloud of faithful witnesses and for every member of the Body of Christ, the Church. God Works All Things Together For The Good, and fulfilment of His plan for His people, depends on the consummation of His plan for the Church. In the same way, His plans for the Gentile Church depended on the coming of a Messiah through His people! Just as we were dependent on them to bring forth the Savior, so they are dependent on the Church for the fulfilment of their promises. May we be prepared to hold fast to our faith, no matter what difficulties and dangers we face so that together with that glorious cloud of worthy witnesses, we may testify of His goodness and grace to us, and to all. These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the great cloud of worthy men and women who gained Your approval through their faith. It is awesome to realize that they continued to trust in the truth of Your Word when faced with unspeakable difficulties and dangers. Their faith did not waver, even though they died before receiving what was promised. We pray that we too may have the sort of faith that does not waver when problems arise and that we will be faithful to the point of death. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN. Christ is in union with each of His children and He feels our hurt, He has empathy with the unfair treatment we receive. He understands our pain. He warns that we will be hated of all men and He knows it is for His sake that blows and hatred will be inflicted upon His precious people. Yet we are encouraged to rejoice in our sufferings, with exceeding great, and overflowing joy, knowing that it is for His sake that we are ill-treated all day long. He is the living Head of His Body, the Body of Christ, which is the Church. Sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed in us. Suffering in this life develops, in us, a godly character and patient endurance, which is honoring to the Lord. As Members Of Christ’s Body, should we not joyfully identify with Christ’s earthly suffering, knowing that He lived and died so that we might be identified with His glory and live eternally? Yes, we should rejoice; exceedingly, that we As Members Of Christs' Body and partakers of His sufferings. It is by faith in His sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection that we have not only been forgiven of our sins and clothed in His righteousness, but we are His blood-bought children, who have a blessed hope, a glorious future, and life everlasting, Amen. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Father, that we are part of the Body of Christ, which is the Church, and that we are in union with the Lord Jesus. Thank You that He understands all that we are facing in our lives today and that we are partakers in His sufferings. Help us to keep an eternal perspective ever in our sights, and we praise Your name for the blessed hope and glorious future that You have purposed for all Your people. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. Not only have we been reconciled to God through Christ, but as members of His Body, we have been commissioned to carry out and continue the ministry of reconciliation that Jesus Himself started during His earthly life. It is not God's will that anyone should perish but that all come to faith in Jesus. So, He has made us His witnesses. We have become ambassadors for Christ. He Has Given Us The Ongoing Ministry of reconciliation so that others may hear the good news, trust in Jesus for the salvation of their soul, and be reconciled back to God. Not only through time but into eternity. It is as if God Himself were making an appeal to the lost through us. Today, God is ready to use us to be His ministers of reconciliation. Let's all be ready and willing to witness to a fallen world the wonderful works of God so that lost sinners may obtain eternal redemption through Christ and return into fellowship with our Heavenly Father, through time and into eternity. All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, what an amazing privilege that You should use such as us to be your mouthpieces and be used as an ambassadors for Christ, to a lost and hurting world. Enable us to share the news that God has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ and that we can partake in that reconciliation, simply by believing in Him. We pray that many may come to trust in Jesus as their Savior in the days that lie ahead. In Jesus' name, AMEN. |
