God is the power behind every one of His promises, and God is the truth behind all of His Word. God is the omniscience behind all of His counsel, and He is the supernatural mind behind all of His plans. No promise from God will ever fail to reach its fulfilment, for every directive that proceeds from the mind of the Almighty must arrive at its ultimate completion, for NOTHING is impossible with respect to any of God's promises. This truth is fully consistent with the perfect nature of God's character and totally compatible with His eternal perfection. If God has promised it, nothing will stand in the way of its final fulfilment. It is unbelief that questions the Word of God and doubt that casts a shadow over the veracity of God's promises, for they are all yes and amen in Christ. Let us believe that nothing is impossible with respect to each and every one of God's precious promises to us, that nothing is impossible to God, even when we don't understand. For with God nothing shall be impossible. Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, thank You for Your Word and the many promises that fill its pages. Thank You that nothing is impossible with respect to any of Your precious promises, not only to us, but to all people. Forgive us for the times we have doubted Your Word, and help us to stand firm in all that You have promised. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. Paul did nothing to save himself. He was not saved because of his privileged ancestry, his educational achievements, his financial advantages, his elevated position in the community, his seat on the Sanhedrin, or any other earthy assets. Paul was saved because he realised that he was a wretched sinner in need of the salvation that only comes through faith in Christ. And God took this murderous, hate-filled man, and Paul believed the truth: "God loved the world so much that He sent His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in HIM would not perish but have everlasting life." And that same salvation is open to ALL who have ears to hear, a heart that is open to the truth, and a will to change. “’Who are you, Lord?’ I asked. “’I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,’ he replied. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, what an amazing, life-changing experience it was for Paul to be confronted on the road to Damascus by Jesus, Himself. Lord, we are so thankful that You can and will save anyone who humbly turns to you for forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. Thank You for this insight into Paul’s life, from being the most zealot of persecutors of the "followers of the Way" to being the greatest missionary for the gospel of grace. Use us, Lord, in whatever way You choose, to further Your gospel in our corner of the world. In Jesus' name, AMEN. Christ's victory on the Cross has become our victory, and this is the finished and eternal state of all who are part of the Body of Christ. We became overcomers by faith at the point of our salvation (which was by faith), we were united together in Him by faith, and we are also to live an overcoming life, by faith. We do this as we trust His Word, submit to His guidance, live in spirit and truth, and depend on Him in all things. And praise God that even if we falter in our faith or fail in our witness, He remains faithful to the promises He has made to His blood-bought children, for He cannot deny Himself. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. Our United Prayer:
Thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God that whoever is born of God by faith in Jesus, overcomes the world. Thank You that our victory does not depend on our merit or our abilities, but on Christ Who overcame on our behalf when He died for us on Calvary's Cross and rose again. We pray that we may live our lives in a manner that is worthy of You, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN. Before God began to systematically lay out His covenantal conditions before His people.. He reminded them of all that He had done for them already with the following words: I am the Lord Your God Who brought You out of the land of Egypt.. but heading up all the moral; civil, religion and ceremonial ordinances was the great commandment: “You Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me” Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word and that truths that it contains. Thank You for Your faithfulness to Your people and thank You that in Your grace the Lord Jesus came to fulfil the Law and the prophets and to die on the cross so that that a new and better covenant might be implemented - so that whosever believes on Him would not perish but have everlasting life. Thank You in Jesus name. AMEN Prayer has been called 'the breath of the soul' and expresses the very essence of faith in our Heavenly Father. Prayer is the fruit of a humble and helpless heart that comes before the Lord in loving trust. The closer one grows to the Lord in prayer and praise, the more we rely on our prayerful communion with Him to supply all our needs, according to His riches in glory. The closer we draw to our God, the more we value the petitions and prayers that are offered, by others, on our behalf. May we develop a right attitude towards prayer, and a purpose in our praying, which is in accordance with God's perfect will. Brothers and sisters, pray for us. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift and privilege of prayer. Thank You that we have confidence to come to You in prayer, not only for ourselves but also for others. We praise You that You hear and answer our every cry. Increase our desire to commune with You in prayer, and may we be so submitted to Your will, that Your Holy Spirit prompts the prayers we utter to be in accordance with Your perfect plan and for Your greater glory. This we ask in Jesus' name AMEN. |
