As born-again children of God, we are set apart as a spiritual kingdom and have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, we are his chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a people for His own possession - that we may proclaim the excellencies of Him Who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. Let us contemplate these glorious truths that are ours by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and let us conclude that He is worthy to receive all power, riches, wisdom, might, honor, glory, and blessings. and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we are not worthy to gather up the crumbs under Your table and yet you have chosen us to be part of Your heavenly kingdom. Thank You that we are in Christ and have become part of His Body, which is the Church. Thank You that, together with all believers, we have been sanctified unto God, chosen to become a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a people for His own possession. Lord, we offer our bodies, our lives, ourselves, our all, to be living sacrifices to You. May we live to Your praise and glory from this day forward. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. Unlike Job, we have an opportunity to participate in the spiritual battle against the enemy of our soul, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against great principalities and mighty powers. We are fighting the rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. Job, even in his ignorance of events, did not denounce His Lord or curse His God, and yet we... who have the full council of God in the completed canon of Scripture, can too often allow doubt and fear to shake our faith, influence our decisions, and even cause us to deny our Lord. Do we posses the faith of a man like Job who refused to deny the Lord despite the evils that touched him? Stand firm on the Word of God. There the wicked cease from turmoil, and there the weary are at rest. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we are amazed at the wonderful way that Job refused to deny You... even when he was beset by the most terrible circumstance any person could have to face. Thank You that you ignore those times when we too have been foolish enough to regret our life or wish it away - because we are in the midst of great difficulty or depressed by the circumstances of life. Thank You that You know the end from the beginning and through Job's distress You brought him to a deeper knowledge and an exquisite understanding of Who You are. Forgive the times we have said things without thinking. Help us to keep the eyes of our hearts on Jesus and keep us trusting You in every event of life, knowing that You are dealing with us and with all Your children, with eternity in view - just as You were with Your servant Job. Thank You, in Jesus' name, AMEN. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is unchanging and His righteousness abides forever. The Lord has established His throne in judgement and His sovereign authority rules over all. He shall avenge the innocent and He will administer justice for all, for He is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold for all who put their trust in Him. We are not only to trust Him when the great giants of opposition and oppression are put to flight, but we are to keep on trusting Him when our faith in God is severely tried, when we are insulted and persecuted, and when others say all kinds of evil against us falsely for Christ's sake, He is a faithful God Who does not change, He abides forever, and He has established His throne in the heavens for righteous judgement and everlasting peace. The LORD reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the great encouragement from the wonderful Word of God. How we praise You that the day is coming when You will judge the ungodly in righteousness. Help us to look to You no matter what difficulties and dangers arise in our lives. May our trust in You be strengthened with every passing day, as we continue to prove Your faithfulness to the truth of Your Word. Praise God that Your Word abides forever and that You have established Your throne in righteousness and justice. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN. Today, we live in a world that is spiraling out of control, where evil is multiplying, the poor are oppressed, the love of many has grown icy cold, and a deep-seated hatred of the Christian Church, is escalating out of control. But Jesus is the King of Righteousness... and the work of righteousness which He carried out on the Cross of Calvary, brings peace with God to all who believe in His name. And in His grace, He pours the precious peace of God into the hearts of all His children who walk in spirit and truth. May we, the Body of Christ, rest in His peace in this hostile, violent world, and look up and lift up our heads as our redemption draws near when Jesus comes in the clouds to Rapture His Bride and take us into heaven to be with Him. The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever. Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the truths that we can learn from Your dealings with Your people. Thank You that Jesus is the King of Righteousness, and that the day is coming when You will put all wrongs to right - when You return in power and great glory to set up Your kingdom on earth. May we look up and lift up our heads, knowing that the day of our redemption draws near. May the peace of Christ guard our hearts, knowing that You have already gained the victory over sin and death for all who believe in the name Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, in Whose name we pray, AMEN. All those that have been born from above and have been clothed in the righteousness of Christ our Savior, are called by our great Creator God, to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness, to sing joyful praises to Him with our lips and in our hearts. We are exhorted to shout for joy, to rejoice in the Lord always, and to make melodies to Him from the depth of our inner being. We are called to praise Him by faith with rejoicing praise and grateful thanksgiving, because the Word of the LORD is true. His Word is righteous altogether, and we can trust in all that He says and everything that He does, for He is faithful and true. We are recipients of His saving grace and unfailing love, give glory to our Creator God and sing praises to the God of our salvation. The Word and wisdom, the promises and the precepts of our God are altogether upright and are perfect in righteous, and all His work is carried out in faithfulness, grace and truth. Praise His holy name. For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. Our United Prayer:
Glory be to our Savior, the God of our salvation. Let us sing praises to You all the days of our lives, for You alone are holy, You alone are the Lord, and Your Word is trustworthy and true. You have raised us up from the pit of destruction, and seated us together with Christ in heavenly places, for which we praise Your holy name forever and ever, AMEN. |
