The Lord gives us all rules to live by. Our Lord is a passionate Lord who cares for everyone who wants all of us to live Just lives. The Seven Things listed below are just not acceptable to him. Read More Below Arrogant Eyes- having or showing an exaggerated opinion of one's own importance, merit, ability, etc.; conceited; overbearingly proud. A Lying Tongue- Simply defined, a lie is a statement (or act) that is made (or carried out) with the deliberate goal of deceiving or misleading. Lying involves intent; it involves “conceiving and uttering from the heart” Another form of lying is making false promises. When you make promises you do not intend to keep, or know you cannot keep, you are lying.. Hands That Shed Innocent Blood- taking the life of a person who has committed no offense for which the law prescribes death as a penalty A Heart That Plots Wicked Schemes- “A heart that devises wicked plans” therefore speaks of a person who deliberately plans to act wickedly, who spends his time devising wickedness to perform. But it’s not only about blatant actions. Do you ever plan to say things that the Bible clearly forbids—to lie to your parents, to speak disrespectfully to or of your spouse, to gossip about the latest juicy titbit you just heard? The Bible is clear: “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up” (Ephesians 4:29). If you allow any corrupting speech to flow from your mouth, you have violated Ephesians 4:29, and if you have thought about it ahead of time, you are guilty of a heart that devises wicked plans. It doesn’t matter that you’re having a bad day, or are not feeling well, or woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Feet Eager To Run To Evil- an eagerness on the part of the sinner to involve himself in things that bring harm and or pain to others. Avoid the influence of those whose feet are swift to run to evil. A Lying Witness That Gives False Testimony- Part of the Ten Commandments, also known as the Decalogue, this 9th commandment forbids the Israelites from bearing false witness or giving false testimony against one another (Exodus 20:16; Deuteronomy 5:20). To bear false witness against others is to lie about them, especially for personal gain. The Hebrew word translated “neighbor” in this commandment can mean an associate, a brother, companion, fellow, friend, husband, lover, or neighbor. In other words, the Israelites were commanded to be truthful in all things, but especially when speaking about another person. The people were not to lie publicly, as in a court of law by laying at another’s feet any false charge that could injure him, nor were they to lie privately by whispering, talebearing, backbiting, slandering, or destroying his character by innuendos, sly insinuations, and evil suggestions. The lying witness is a deceitful man, who mocks at justice One Who Stirs Up Trouble Among Brothers- God hates a man who stirs up dissention among brothers, a person who intentionally divides other Christians. The amazing thing is that God places this sin of causing discord among brothers right up there along with murder, lying, and perjuring (see Proverbs 6:16–19). One of the things that stirs up dissension is gossip. We hear something about someone. They did what? With whom? We are so anxious to tell someone else. What is it with us that we would actually rejoice in a weakness or problem in another Christian’s life? The first thing we should do is pray for that person. We are Praying Lord we lift those up to you in prayer that have any issues with any of these 7. Lord we we ask you to guide them with the direction of your words and commandments. Lord we are all sinners and we ask for your forgiveness. We know that asking for forgiveness, will turn us from our ways that are not acceptable to you. We ask this in your name...Amen
