The ubiquitous Christmas candy cane is a symbol of the simple roots of Christianity, one so old that we have all but forgotten its origin. The candy takes the shape of a shepherd's crook, representing the humble shepherds who were first to worship the newborn Christ.
Thank You, Lord, for sending Jesus to us and to die for our sins. Thank You that His blood has paid the full penalty for our sins and that the power of sin in our lives has been broken through Him. Thank You that Christ's sacrifice reveals Your immense love for mankind - and for us. We just want to give You thanks and praise for this free gift of salvation that is open to whosoever will come.
