He Will Return

This great city of Jerusalem is precious to our Father in heaven, this is where the beloved Son of God honored His Father's will and broke the power of sin, death, and Satan - winning the greatest victory the world will ever know - through His sacrificial offering of Himself. This is the city in which Jesus rose from the dead in power and great glory, and ascended into heaven where He is seated on His Father's throne, waiting for the day when He will return in power and great glory to set up His earthly kingdom for 1000 years.
Yes, Jerusalem and its inhabitants are close to the heart of God, and we read in verses 5-6 that the Lord Himself will establish the inhabitants of Jerusalem and those that live within her walls, when Jesus returns as the King of Peace and Righteousness to set up His Millennial Kingdom. And in verse 7 we read, As they make music they will sing, “All my fountains are in you.”

Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for this reminder of the Holy City of Jerusalem which is called by Your name. And thank for Your amazing plan of redemption that You have shown us. Thank You that Jesus is the Living Water of life, that all our springs of joy are in Him, and for the gift of salvation and promise of eternal life through Him. Help us to live in a manner that reflects Your love and peace. We ask that You make us as vessels of Your grace and love, and that we may share the gospel with those who are in need of Your forgiveness and hope. May Your presence fill our hearts with joy and praise, and may all our springs of joy be in You. we ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
