In The Footsteps Of Our Savior

The simple gospel requires no effort, for we are saved by grace simply through faith in Christ Jesus. But living our Christian life as unto the Lord requires patient endurance as we press on, day by day, in the footsteps of our Savior to the goal of our calling, which is to be conformed into the image of Christ. This takes effort and courage which only comes from the Spirit of God, but in so doing we are obeying the Lord as we press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
So let's keep racing the race- "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."

Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, we want to press on in our Christian lives, to become more and more like the Lord Jesus. We know that it will require us to put our hands to the plough and press on, with the patient endurance that only comes from You. We pray that we may not lose heart or grow weary in doing the good works that You have prepared for us to do. Thank You that in due time we may reap a fruitful reward, if we do not give up. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN.
