What He Has Promised He Will Fulfill

 There are many places in Scripture that remind us that the cares and concerns of this world can become a burdensome load in our lives. 'Independence' proudly proclaims that it has built up a range of coping strategies and self-help skills to deal with all the stresses and strains of life, while 'Pride' arrogantly announces that it is well-able to go it alone - but the Word of God paints a very different picture.
 We have been told by the Lord that we cannot manage our daily problems on our own, and this is a severe blow to our self-ego and fleshly-pride, which is rooted in the old sin nature. We are told that strength will be freely given, when we admit our weaknesses and inabilities, and we are charged to hand over all our cares and disappointments to the Lord, Who has promised to bear all our burdens because of His loving-kindness and tender mercy towards us.
Never doubt the integrity and truth of God's Word, what He has promised He will fulfill. May we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt us at the proper time - and cast ALL our anxiety on Him, because He cares for each one of His blood-bought children. 
casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we confess that for too long, we have depended on our own sufficiency and tried to work out our own problems in our own strength... but we thank You, God, that You care so much for us that we can cast all our burdens on You and give You all the hurts, disappointments, and worries, that seem to be flooding our lives today. Thank You that we have the sure knowledge that You have promised to carry every anxiety and pain. we admit, dear Father, that we are weak in ourselves, but praise You that we can draw on Your amazing strength today and in the days that lie ahead. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN.
